A thermoplastic composition includes at least one kind of algae that constitutes from about 10 wt. % to about 55 wt. % of the composition, and a polymer that constitutes from about 45 wt. % to about 90 wt. % of the composition, wherein the composition is free of plasticizer and free of plant polymer. An injection molded article is formed from a material including at least one kind of algae that constitutes from about 10 wt. % to about 55 wt. % of the composition, and a polymer that constitutes from about 45 wt. % to about 90 wt. % of the composition, wherein the material is free of plasticizer and free of plant polymer.

A polish having improved properties is generally disclosed. In one embodiment, the polish can include a preservative that resists the growth of organisms, such as mold, fungus, bacteria, and the like, even after extended periods of nonuse. Additionally, the polish can be incorporated or impregnated into a mitt to form an all in one treating device. For example, the all in one treating device can be impregnated with a polish in at least one surface. In one embodiment, the polish can resist wicking or other migration from its application area to other parts of the all in one treatment device.

The present invention relates to an insulation article having a core of an insulation material encased within a fabric material. The fabric material is prepared from thermoplastic fibers having an average fiber diameter less than about 12 microns. Examples of the fabric material include woven, knit or nonwoven materials. The insulation material may be any conventional insulation material, including foams and fibrous materials. Examples of uses for the encased insulation material of the present invention include architectural applications such as attics, basements and crawl spaces in homes, commercial buildings and in heating, venting and air conditioning systems (HVAC), around appliances, such as dishwashers, refrigerators, clothes washing machines and the like, in vehicles such as cars, trucks, trains, airplanes and the like.

An integrated nonwoven laminate material suitable for use as a filter medium having a microfiber layer integrated with a low loft multicomponent spunbond layer and a high loft multicomponent spunbond layer and a method of producing the integrated nonwoven laminate material. In one embodiment of this invention, a laminate material is through-air bonded to form an integrated nonwoven laminate material which is then electret treated to enhance attraction between particles being filtered and the fibers of the integrated nonwoven laminate material. In one embodiment of this invention, the integrated nonwoven laminate material is used as a filter having an ASHRAE Standard 52.1-1992 Dust Spot Efficiency of about 40% to about 95% and an ASHRAE Standard 52.2-1999 MERV (Minimum Efficiency Reporting Value) of 12 to 16.
