A fiducial for use in the manufacture of a fabric article includes a hole through a layer of fabric. Another layer of fabric of the fabric article overlays and obscures the fiducial. The fiducial is detected by transmitting electromagnetic radiation through the fabric article. The electromagnetic radiation may make a single pass directly through the fabric article to a sensor, or may pass through the fabric article, be reflected off a surface, and pass back through the fabric article to the sensor.

Vision systems and methods for locating fiducials in manufacturing fabric articles

A garment station including a frame, a conveyor coupled to the frame, a gantry, and a folding assembly. The gantry is disposed over the conveyor and includes a tool head moveable over the conveyor. The folding assembly includes a first platen moveable relative to a second platen between a folded position and an unfolded position. The first platen is substantially co-planar with the second platen in the unfolded position. The first platen is disposed above the second platen in the folded position.

Apparatus to manufacture a garment from a single web

Systems, apparatuses and methods are described herein for precision insertion. In various embodiments, a feeder device may be configured to feed an object such as wire from a wire source into a wire path. In various embodiments, a guidance device with a channel that at least partially defines the wire path may receive the wire fed from the feeder device. In various embodiments, a base may be provided for mounting at least one of a first substrate having a first aperture and a second substrate having a second aperture so that the first aperture of the first substrate is aligned with the second aperture of the second substrate. In various embodiments, the base may be configured to be movable relative to the guidance device to position the first substrate or second substrate so that the first or second aperture is aligned with the wire path.

Apparatus for precision insertion

Apparatus and techniques for automated optical inspection (AOI) utilizing image scanning modules with multiple objectives for each camera are provided. A scanning mechanism includes optical components to sequentially steer optical signals from each of the multiple objectives to the corresponding camera.
