A quad-shield coaxial cable includes an insulator portion configured to encircle an inner conductor portion, an inner conductive foil portion configured to encircle the insulator portion, an inner braided shield portion configured to encircle the inner conductive foil layer portion, an outer braided shield portion configured to encircle the inner braided shield portion, an outer conductive foil portion configured to encircle the outer braided shield portion, and a jacket portion configured to encircle the outer conductive foil portion.

Quad-shield coaxial cable

A configurable enclosure including a cover portion operably attached to a base portion, the base portion including a wall disposed along a perimeter of a bottom surface, and a removable portion of the bottom surface configured to be peeled away from the base portion to create an opening on the bottom surface is provided. Moreover, an enclosure having a cover portion operably attached to a base portion, the base portion including a wall disposed around a perimeter of a bottom surface, a thin section of the bottom surface located proximate an outer edge of a removable portion of the bottom surface, an actuator operably attached to the removable portion, wherein through actuation of the actuator, the removable portion peels away from the bottom surface to create an opening on the base portion is also provided. Furthermore, an associated method is also provided.

Configurable enclosure

A quad-shield coaxial cable includes, an elongated center conductor extending along a longitudinal axis, an insulator coaxially surrounding the inner conductor, an inner conductive foil layer coaxially surrounding the insulator, an inner layer of braided shield coaxially surrounding the inner foil layer, an outer layer of braided shield coaxially surrounding the inner layer of braided shield, an outer conductive foil layer coaxially surrounding the outer layer of braided shield, and a jacket coaxially surrounding the outer conductive foil layer.

A passive neutral fault current detection device fastened to cable television equipment detects the presence of a neutral fault within a subscriber's premises when the outer conductor of the coaxial cable is electrically bonded to the neutral conductor of the premises electrical service ground. In one example, the passive neutral fault current detection device employs a transformer circuit. The braided outer conductor of the coax cable acts as the primary coil of the transformer, and windings surrounding the coax cable act as a secondary coil. The windings are connected to an alert device to complete the circuit. As alternating current from a neutral fault flows through the braided sheath, a varying magnetic field is generated and impinges upon the secondary winding, which induces a varying voltage in the secondary winding. The voltage can drive the alert device which, in one embodiment, is a light emitting diode (LED).

Neutral fault current detection device

A mounting clip for retaining a cable against a mounting surface includes a mounting flange configured to be mounted to a mounting structure, a first cable retainer, and a second cable retainer. The first cable retainer extends from the mounting flange and defines a first passage configured to receive a length of a cable therethrough. The second cable retainer extends from the mounting flange and defines a second passage configured to receive the length of cable therethrough. The second cable retainer is resiliently movable between a rest position and a loaded position. In the rest position, the second cable retainer extends into the first passage and defines the second passage smaller than the first passage. In the loaded position, the second cable retainer is moved in a direction away from the mounting structure by the length of the cable received in the first passage and is configured to apply a force to an outer surface of the length of the cable to hold the length of the cable against the mounting structure.

A coaxial cable connector is provided, the connector includes: a connector body and a ground isolation circuit positioned within the connector body. The ground isolation circuit is configured to generate a voltage signal comprising a positive voltage and a negative voltage. The ground isolation circuit is electrically isolated from the connector body.

Coaxial cable connector with internal floating ground circuitry and method of use thereof

A premise signal conditioning device is provided that can be inserted into a signal transmission line of a CATV system on a premise of a user. The device includes at least a first diplexer set, each diplexer set including a supplier side diplexer and a premise side diplexer creating a return path for an upstream bandwidth and a forward path for a downstream bandwidth there between. The device further includes a detector configured to measure a level of signals present in a first segment of frequencies between the upstream bandwidth and the downstream bandwidth. The device further includes a switch controller configured to alter a width of the return path from a first width to a second width in response to a level of the signals exceeding a predetermined threshold level.

Automatic return path switching for a signal conditioning device

A modular connector comprising a connector body where at least one terminal member disposed in the connector body, wherein each of the terminal members has a blade, and a contact face. A wire loader is configured for sliding engagement within the connector body. The wire loader having at least one hole corresponding to the terminal member. The hole is dimensioned therein to let an insulated wire be inserted therethrough, wherein when the wire loader is slidably disposed within the connector body, the inserted wire is positioned to be in contact with the blade so the blade is pressed into electrical communication with the at least one terminal member.
