Motion detector

A glass breakage detector system including an audio sensor, room-specific evaluation function generating functionality operative to generate at least one room-specific audio signal alarm evaluation function based on at least one of at least one acoustic parameter characterizing a room in which the audio sensor is located and at least two of the following environmental parameters: a size of the room, at least one size of at least one glass element in the room, at least one type of the at least one glass element in the room and at least one distance between the at least one glass element and the audio sensor, and alarm generation functionality operative to receive outputs from the audio sensor and to generate a glass breakage alarm when the outputs from the audio sensor fulfill criteria established by the at least one room-specific audio signal alarm evaluation function.

Glass breakage detection system and method of configuration thereof

A motion detector system including first and second pairs of pyro-electric elements, electrical interconnections between the pyro-electric elements in the first pair providing a first signal output and local temperature compensation for the elements in the first pair, electrical interconnections between the elements in the second pair providing a second signal output and local temperature compensation for the pyro-electric elements in the second pair, wherein the compensation for the first pair is independent of the compensation for the second pair, a housing enclosing the two pairs of pyro-electric elements and defining a window, only one of the pyro-electric elements in each pair viewing a motion detection field of view through the window, and a signal processor receiving the first and second signal outputs and providing an output indication of crossing the field of view by an object having a temperature different from the ambient in the field of view.

Motion detection systems and methodologies

A passive infra-red detector including at least three sub-detectors, each sub-detector being operative to receive infra-red radiation from a corresponding one of at least three sub fields-of-view, each sub field-of-view being exclusively defined by an optical element which does not define any other sub field of view, the sub fields-of-view being angled with respect to each other, adjacent ones of the sub fields-of-view being separated by a gap of no more than 30 degrees and at least one of the sub fields-of-view having at least one of the following characteristics: extending over no more then 45 degrees in azimuth; and including not more than three azimuthally distributed detection zones, and signal processing circuitry, operative to receive output signals from the sub detectors and to provide a motion detection output.

Passive infra-red detectors

A system and method for motion detection, useful, for example, in intrusion detection, access control, and energy management, including an incoherent detector, including at least one sensing element, operative to detect receipt of radiation having a wavelength between 0.05 mm and 10 mm from multiple fields of view, and a motion detector receiving an output of the incoherent detector and providing a motion detection output indicating receipt of radiation from an object moving between the multiple fields of view.
