The subject matter of the invention relates to therapy wraps for the application of compression and thermal therapy to a patient by fluid pumped through the wrap. The wraps are formed of at least two layers of material which are sealed together to form at least one cavity between them. At least two layers of the wrap are sealed together using a plurality of different seal patterns. The unique shape of the wrap and placement of the seals provides a wrap that may be folded to fit a patient's head and circulate fluid in a manner to compress the wrap against the wearer's head, particularly in areas where hair growth is desired while avoiding the application of therapy to other areas of the head, particularly the forehead and ears.

The subject matter of the invention relates to therapy wraps for the application of compression and/or thermal therapy to a patient. The wraps are formed of at least two layers of material which are sealed together to form at least one cavity between them. The wraps may be used in conjunction with a therapy machine which fills the cavity or cavities of the wraps with fluid such as a gas and/or a liquid. The unique shapes of the wraps are particularly suitable for providing therapy to the human body. The shapes permit the manipulation of the wraps around various portions of the human body such as the shoulder, back and foot.

The subject matter of the invention relates to therapy wraps for the application of compression and/or thermal therapy to a patient. The wraps are formed of at least two layers of material which are sealed together to form at least one cavity between them. At least two layers of the wrap are sealed together using a plurality of different seal patterns. A first seal pattern is provided in at least one zone. The zone is surrounded by a perimeter seal, an internal seal or at least one different seal pattern or a combination thereof. The pattern within the zone or zones provides higher volume fluid flow paths than the pattern or patterns surrounding the zone or zones.

The invention relates to a separable device for the application of compression and thermal therapy to a patient. A first section includes a reservoir, liquid pump and a thermal exchange system for the application of thermal therapy as well as a dock. The second section of the device includes an air compressor and at least one controller for the application of compression therapy and can be operated independently from the first section. Additionally, the second section may be engaged with a dock of the first section.

Separable system for applying compression and thermal treatment

A therapeutic compression device for applying compression force to a patient. The device is constructed of multiple layers, at least two of which are fluid-tight. At least two fluid-tight layers define a fluid-tight chamber that has a smaller surface area than the overall device. Fluid supplied to the fluid-tight chamber causes compressive force to be exerted on a patient. Preferably at least one layer is a fluid permeable material. An additional layer of fluid permeable material may be also be added to ensure a fluid permeable barrier exists between the fluid-tight chamber and a patient.

Therapeutic compression apparatus

An air-vented closure assembly for a fluid container has a valve body and a valve element. The valve body has first and second fluid conduits. The valve body has a mounting sleeve in fluid communication with the first and second fluid conduits. A valve member is positioned in the mounting sleeve for reciprocating movement from a closed position to an open position. The valve member has a wall having opposed ends, the valve member having a third fluid conduit therethrough. A first portion of the wall is removed to define an air inlet into the third fluid conduit and a second portion is removed to define an air outlet. When the valve member is in the closed position fluid flow through the first and second conduits is prevented, and when in the open position fluid can flow through the first conduit and air can flow through the air outlet.

The present invention relates generally to a valve for a flexible plastic container and more particularly to a valve for dispensing particulate containing liquids.

Valve for a flexible container

A flexible polymeric container for storing and dispensing liquids includes a first sidewall and a second sidewall connected together to define a fluid chamber therebetween. The first sidewall and the second sidewall each have an inner surface facing the fluid chamber and an opposed outer surface. A fitment is attached to an outer surface of one of the first sidewall or the second sidewall. The fitment has an opening therethrough which has an axis substantially perpendicular to the outer surface. A plurality of objects on the inner surface of one of the first sidewall or the second sidewall defines a plurality of pathways having at least a first pathway and a second pathway intersecting one another.

Flexible plastic container

A hangable bag used for containing and dispensing product including a first panel and a second panel heat sealed together at adjacent seal areas to form an interior compartment therebetween. A spout is sealed to the first panel to provide access to the interior compartment for filling and dispensing product from the bag. A first of the seal areas forms a handle region with an aperture therethrough, and has a substantially greater width than the other seal areas to provide increased strength and rigidity to the handle region of the hangable bag.
