A support device may be used by a technician when performing elevated line work, for example. The support device may include a body portion having a ring portion extending from one end of the body portion. The support device also may include first and second hanger portions extending from the body portion. The first hanger portion may include a circular slot for engaging a rounded shaft, and the second hanger portion may include a flat slot for engaging a planar shaft.

Support device

A safety device is disclosed. According to various embodiments, the safety device includes a frame having a main lever arm and a connecting portion, wherein the connecting portion comprises a surface having a plurality of indentations and wherein the main lever arm includes a first elbow and a first upward extending arm at an end opposite the connecting portion. The safety device also comprises an expander lever arm, wherein the expander lever arm includes a second elbow and a second upward extending arm at the end opposite the connecting portion, wherein the main lever arm and the expander lever arm divergently extend from the connecting portion and wherein the expander lever arm is configured to engage and to be adjustable about the connecting portion.

Climbing device

A powder driven tool includes a housing including a powder cartridge and a piston within a barrel. A guide member attaches to the barrel and cradles a support device. The guide member includes a wall portion having a thickness greater than other portions of the guide member. Ignition of the powder cartridge causes the piston to move within the barrel and drive the support device. The wall portion resists barrel climb as the support device is driven into an object.

A torso harness reduces injury from a fall from a utility pole. The torso harness has a safety belt for wrapping around the waist of a person. A single strap forms a left and a right leg loop. The single strap has a first end secured to the safety belt and a second end secured to the safety belt. The single strap also has a clasp sliding along the single strap. The single strap pulls between the legs of the person and up through the groin area. When the clasp is secured to the safety belt, the single strap thus forms the left and the right leg loop.

Torso harness

A support device may be used by a technician when performing elevated line work, for example. The support device may include a shaft having a first end and a second end and threads disposed at the first end of the shaft for use in securing the device to a pole. The support device further may include at least one rigid support member disposed on the second end of the shaft for supporting an object from the device and a pusher attached to the second end of the shaft and adapted to drive the support device into the pole. The pusher may include a driving end adapted to receive force applied from a piston of a powder driven tool, an extension portion extending from the driving end and contacting the support device.
