An exhaust after-treatment system for treating an exhaust produced by an engine. The exhaust after-treatment system may include an exhaust passageway in communication with the engine, and an exhaust treatment component provided in the exhaust passageway. A dosing module for dispensing an exhaust treatment fluid into the exhaust passageway can be located between the engine and the exhaust treatment component. A coolant source and a modular liquid-cooled mount for supporting and cooling the dosing module is also provided. The liquid-cooled mount communicates with the coolant source and includes an inlet sub-mount including a first coolant passageway, a base sub-mount including a second coolant passageway, and at least one intermediate mount disposed between the inlet sub-mount and the base sub-mount that includes a third coolant passageway, wherein each of the first, second, and third coolant passageways are in communication with each other.

Multi-layer liquid-cooled mount

A control system for reducing nitrogen oxides in an engine exhaust of an engine includes an emissions catalyst having an inlet adapted to receive an exhaust from the engine. A reductant tank stores a reductant. An injector is in fluid communication with the reductant tank and is operable to inject the reductant into the exhaust upstream of the catalyst. A reductant pump pumps the reductant from the reductant tank to the injector. A controller determines a target pressure of the reductant based on an engine operating condition and operates the reductant pump based on the target pressure.

Reductant injection control system

An NOx injection system for treating a vehicle exhaust system comprises an injector for injecting a select material into the vehicle exhaust system and including an electrical coil. An impedance element is connected in series with a flyback diode across the coil. An injector firing control circuit is electrically connected to the injector for driving the coil, the switching circuit operating in an on mode to fire the injector and in an off mode to turn off the injector. The impedance element increases reverse voltage to increase injector turn off response.

An exhaust gas treatment system for reducing emissions from an engine includes an exhaust conduit adapted to supply an exhaust stream from an engine to an exhaust treatment device. An injector injects a reagent through an aperture in the conduit into the exhaust stream. A vortex breaker includes a mount having a cylindrical sleeve extending through the aperture as well as a flared tube fixed to and positioned within the cylindrical sleeve. A window extends through an upstream portion of the cylindrical sleeve exposing the flared tube to the exhaust stream. The sleeve includes a downstream aperture in fluid communication with the window.

Exhaust gas stream vortex breaker

A reagent injection system for reducing emissions from an engine includes a reagent container. A heating element is positioned in a heat transfer relationship with reagent stored within the container. An interchange tube includes a first end in receipt of a recirculated liquid reagent and a second open end positioned in the container. The interchange tube includes a bleed-off tube branching off of the interchange tube between the first and second ends. A terminal end of the bleed-off tube is positioned within a vapor dome above a surface of the reagent.
