A system for creating a lighted apparel design includes a light element and a securing member for securing the light element to the apparel item. The securing member is an adhesive. The securing member secures the light element to an associated apparel item at a desired location on the apparel item to create a lighted design on the apparel item.

Device and system for illuminated apparel

A system for creating a lighted apparel design includes a light element and a securing member. The securing member has a base and a capture portion. The capture portion is located, at least in part, attached to the base and defines a capture region configured to releasably secure the light element therein. The securing member is secured to an associated apparel item and the light element secured in the capture region to create a lighted design on the apparel item. A lighted apparel item is also disclosed.

Illuminated clothing accessories are disclosed. A glove includes a glove, light emitting elements disposed proximate finger tips of the glove, a controller coupled to the light emitting elements to control illumination thereof, a power supply coupled to the controller, and light reflecting elements disposed on a top surface of the glove. A headpiece includes a front panel on a top portion of the headpiece. The headpiece includes a top portion having a plurality of light emitting elements arranged thereon. A rim is connected to a bottom end of the top portion. A controller is coupled to the light emitting elements to control illumination thereof. A power supply is coupled to the controller and the plurality of light reflecting elements are disposed on the top portion and the rim of the headpiece.

An illuminated inflator for inserting into the neck of a balloon includes a gas-tight flange having a periphery, a center, and upper and lower surfaces. A filler tube has upper and lower ends and extends through the flange, with the lower end of the filler tube extending below the lower surface the flange and the upper end of the filler tube extending above the upper surface of the flange. A one-way valve is in flow communication with the filler tube. A light assembly includes a power source and at least one light element electrically connected to the power source. The light assembly is operably mounted to the flange at the upper surface thereof. A switch is operably connected to the power source and the at least one light element for providing power to and isolating power from the at least one light element. The inflator is inserted into the balloon with the flange in the neck of the balloon defining a pressure region boundary. The bottom of the filler tube extends outside of the pressure region boundary for filling the balloon with a gas, such that the one-way valve prevents gas from escaping from the pressure region boundary through the filler tube. The switch is mounted to the inflator outside of the pressure region boundary to allow actuation/access to the switch without access to the pressure boundary and without contacting the balloon.

A chemiluminescent glow spike includes a hand tool having a transparent plastic tube portion as a shell container for a first agent of a liquid chemiluminescent material and for a glass vial containing a second agent of the liquid chemiluminescent material. A distal end of the transparent plastic tube portion is formed with a penetrating spike portion to mount a comestible article by a user. Application of an external force to the transparent plastic tube containing the glass vial breaks the glass vial to cause the first and second agents to intermix to activate the liquid chemiluminescent material to provide a fluorescent/luminescent effect.

An illuminated novelty device includes a plurality of light emitting diodes (LEDs). An elongated light bar can be mounted to each of the LEDs. The light bars have a light receiving end and a light emitting end and are mounted to respective LEDs at the light receiving end. The light bars are formed from a light transmissive material. Conductors extend between and connect the LEDs. The LEDs are spaced from one another along the length of the conductors. The LEDs, the elongated light bars and the conductors define an LED assembly. A power source is operably connected to the LED assembly and a switch is operably connected between the power source and the LED assembly. The power source and switch are maintained in a housing. A light transmissive sheath has the LED assembly fitted, at least in part, within it. The sheath has a first end mounted to the housing and a second free end. The LEDs are illuminated by actuation of the switch, and light from the LEDs is transmitted by the LEDs and by the light bars and is visible through the sheath.

An illuminatable golf ball includes an outer translucent shell and an inner core portion surrounded by the outer shell. The ball includes a self-contained lighting device formed and contained at least in part within the inner core portion. The lighting device includes an energy source, a pair of lighting elements, and connectors extending between the energy source and the lighting elements defining an electrical circuit. The lighting device includes a switch for energizing and deenergizing the lighting device. The switch can include a plunger insertable into the ball through an opening in the outer shell and through a bore in the inner core portion. The plunger is configured to change the state of the electrical circuit when it is inserted into and removed from the bore to energize and deenergize the lighting elements. The switch can also be of the force actuatable type.

An illuminatable golf ball includes an outer translucent shell and a sealed inner core portion surrounded by the outer shell. The ball includes a self-contained lighting device formed and contained at least in part within the inner core portion. The lighting device includes an energy source, a pair of lighting elements, and connectors extending between the energy source and the lighting elements defining an electrical circuit. The lighting device includes a switch for energizing and deenergizing the lighting device. The switch can include a plunger insertable into the ball through an opening in the outer shell and through a bore in the inner core portion. The plunger is configured to change the state of the electrical circuit when it is inserted into and removed from the bore to energize and deenergize the lighting elements. The switch can also be timer actuated and of the force actuatable type.

An illuminated balloon includes a substantially gas-impermeable membrane capable of pressurized gas storage and a self-contained illuminating member fully positioned within the balloon. The membrane defines a gas storage region having an inner surface and an outer surface and a neck portion. The neck portion includes an opening therein for introducing a gas to inflate the balloon. The illuminating member is self-contained and includes an illuminating element and a power source electrically connected thereto. The illuminating member, including the power source, is completely within the gas storage region. The illuminating member can include a light emitting diode (LED) and circuitry to provide pulsating power to the LED.
