Systems and methods for ultrafast imaging include: a memory having stored thereon a delay profile matrix and a field programmable gate array (FPGA) coupled with the memory. The delay profile matrix comprises a two-dimensional matrix in which each row corresponds to a delay profile at a particular depth. The FPGA is configured to: acquire radio frequency (RF) ultrasound data from a subject; load a delay profile from the delay profile matrix to a memory buffer of the FPGA, wherein the delay profile corresponds to a particular depth; read a first row of the RF ultrasound data based on a first delay value of the delay profile; generate beamformed data at the particular depth by beamforming the first row of RF ultrasound data; and generate an image of the subject based on the beamformed data.

Systems and methods for continuous ultrafast ultrasound beamforming with programmable logic

Aspects described herein disclose devices, systems, and methods for use in contexts such as minimally invasive surgery (MIS). Methods of use of radio frequency (RF) techniques for improved nerve detection in association with an ultrasound detection system are described. The methods include the use of RF echoes in the detection of tissue dependent features. The methods also include use of an RF classifier to reduce false positives. System dependent features are accounted for through use of a calibration spectrum or through non-parametric model estimation using machine learning.

Aspects of the subject disclosure may include, for example, receiving, by a receiver through a medium from a transmitter, signals over an acoustic channel, where the receiving over the acoustic channel utilizes a high center frequency and provides for a high data rate, and where the medium is a fluid or a semi-solid medium. Method and apparatus for null subtraction ultrasound imaging

A method for identifying a target anatomy by use of a device having an ultrasound transducer. Using the ultrasound transducer, a portion of a patient's anatomy is scanned during a scanning process. A voltage trace of the patient's anatomy is determined and compared to a predetermined trace. If the voltage trace of the patient's anatomy matches the predetermined trace, a notification may be output.
