A torque device for gripping and manipulating a guidewire for advancing the guidewire into a patient's vascular system. The torque device is configured for single-handed use and can be opened for repositioning the torque device relative to the guidewire and closed for gripping the guidewire to prevent axial and rotational movement relative to the guidewire. The torque device grips the guidewire at multiple spaced apart locations on the guidewire.

A system and method for simulating an anatomical access site includes a model assembly selectively disposed within a carrying structure, the model assembly configured to present an anatomical simulant. The model assembly includes a liquid storage container configured to selectively hold a liquid, a pump configured to move the liquid at least around the anatomical simulant, and a model support assembly configured to support the anatomical simulant.

Systems, apparatuses, and methods for presenting an anatomical simulant

Various embodiments of a system for priming a catheter assembly are disclosed herein. For example, the system can include a catheter assembly including an elongate body and an operative device coupled thereto. The system can also include a priming vessel configured to receive insertion of the operative device therein. The priming vessel can include a proximal portion secured to the distal portion of the elongate body such that the elongate body is in fluid communication with the priming vessel. The priming vessel can also include a distal end through which air is expelled when a fluid is channeled through the elongate body and into the priming vessel to expel air from within the catheter assembly.

A handle for delivering, from a distal end of a catheter, a stent positioned within a sheath. The handle comprises an upper rack fixed to the handle and an upper distal block moveable along the upper rack and defining a pawl configured to permit only proximal movement in relation to the upper rack, further including an upper proximal block moveable along the upper rack and defining a pawl configured to permit only proximal movement in relation to the upper rack. The handle includes a lower rack configured to slide proximally and, alternatingly, distally in relation to the handle.

Handle mechanism for actuating delivery catheter

Catheter comprising an inner tubular member defining a fluid lumen and inflation lumen therein. An exterior surface of the inner tubular member defines a fluid flow port in fluid communication with the fluid lumen and located along a region of the inner tubular member. Catheter further includes an outer member having a distal section movable relative to the inner tubular member and having an interior surface. A piston balloon is coupled to the inner tubular member distal to the fluid flow port and is in fluid communication with the inflation lumen. A pressure chamber is in fluid communication with the fluid flow port. Fluid introduced through the inflation lumen inflates the piston balloon to seal against the interior surface and fluid introduced through the fluid flow port and into the pressure chamber applies a force to urge at least the distal section of the outer member in a proximal direction.

A system for delivering an implant including a handle, a trigger, an actuation assembly, and a catheter assembly. The actuation assembly is configured to displace the outer tubular member in the proximal direction and to separately move the inner shaft member distally upon deployment of the trigger from the first position to the second position, and move the inner shaft member proximally with no displacement of the outer tubular member upon return of the trigger from the second position to the first position. Methods and devices for securing soft tissue to a rigid material such as bone are disclosed herein. A bone anchor is described that comprises a base and a top such that suture material may be compressed between surfaces on the base and top to secure the suture to the anchor. Also described is an inserter that can be used to insert the bone anchor into bone and move the anchor top relative to the anchor base to clamp suture material there between. Also described is a soft-tissue and bone piercing anchor and associated inserter. Methods are described that allow use of the bone anchors to provide multiple lengths of suture material to compress a large area of soft tissue against bone.

Fluid introduced into the pressure chamber applies a force on the actuator member to move the actuator member toward the second position. A lock mechanism, disposed between inner and outer tubular members, includes a latch having an engaged condition preventing movement of the outer tubular member relative the inner member and a disengaged condition allowing movement the outer member. The latch is shifted to the disengaged condition when the actuator member is moved to the second position. With the actuator member in the second position and the latch in the disengaged condition, fluid introduced through the fluid flow port and into the pressure chamber applies a force on the proximal seal to urge the outer tubular member proximally.

The actuation assembly can include a planet carrier, at least one planet gear operatively coupled to the planet carrier, a sun gear shaft operatively engaged with the planet gear, a ring gear operatively engaged with the planet gear, a first clutch driver, and a second clutch driver. The actuation assembly can be configured to displace the outer tubular member in the proximal direction a distance (d) relative to the handle and to separately move the inner shaft member distally a distance (x) relative to the handle upon deployment of the trigger from a first position to a second position, and move the inner shaft member proximally a distance (y) relative to the handle with no displacement of the outer tubular member upon return of the trigger from the second position to the first position.
