An exemplary method of printing medications on digestible substrates is described. Single component nonmagnetic toners with active pharmaceutical ingredients (API) embedded or 'dissolved' in the toner are used. The binders for the toner are digestible. The 'printing' process includes loading the single component non-magnetic toners from a sump to a donor roll and developing them either directly onto the substrate or through the use of an intermediate member. Traditional xerographic charge and exposure can be used to make the tablet 'imprints'. Dosage is controlled through &#x201c;solid area&#x201d; or halftone development (when charge and exposure are used). The &#x201c;printed&#x201d; first layer may undergo cold or warm pressure fusing. This medicament layer is then subjected to another station to &#x201c;print&#x201d; a second layer of medical &#x201c;tablet&#x201d;. Multiple stations may be used to build up a complete personalized tablet. Optionally, a final station prints protective overcoat materials to finalize the &#x201c;tablet&#x201d;.

System and methods for controlling toner properties in a two component development system through the toner shape factor. In particular, the present embodiments provide a method for controlling toner concentrations by tailoring the circularity value ranges of the toner particles to prevent dysfunctions and provide a more robust and optimized xerographic system.

Single component toners are provided with at least one surface additive including a large polymeric spacer, and processes for producing the same. In embodiments, the toner is a non-magnetic single component toner produced by emulsion aggregation methods. The large polymeric spacer additives provide excellent flow characteristics to the resulting toners, and reduce the incidence of clogging failure and print defects such as ghosting, white bands, and low toner density compared with conventionally produced toners.

Magnetic toner compositions, conductive developer compositions, and methods for producing images in a hybrid jumping development system, more specifically, in a magnetic ink character recognition system, are disclosed. The developer compositions contain coated magnetic toner particles and coated carrier particles.
