The present disclosure provides a medication cartridge and associated dispensing device. The dispensing device includes a housing containing a cartridge carrier, designed with a specific connector to align with a medication cartridge. The medication cartridge includes a shell with a medicine vial slidably positioned therein. When the dispensing device is activated, the cartridge carrier rotates to raise the vial and cause the vial to dispense medicine from the vial and out of a dispensing aperture for use by a patient.

The present disclosure provides a patient system and method for interfacing with and controlling an oral medication dispensing device. The system registers the dispensing device to a particular patient and records biometric data regarding the patient. Upon verifying a dose schedule and biometric authentication of the patient, the system authorizes use of the medication dispensing device and causes an activator mechanism to activate. In doing so, an activator mechanism within the dispensing device moves a medication cartridge between a stored position and a dispensing position, where it can be compressed to safely and efficiently dispense medication to the patient.

One set of ring clamps with one of the clamp bases are engageable to the article. The other set of ring clamps with the other one of the clamp bases are engageable to the structure. One of the clamp bases couplings is engageable with the other clamp base coupling, and a locking pin is removably engaged therewith.
