A devices for pumping fuel has at least one suction jet pump and a drive line, supplying the suction jet pump with fuel, that branches off from a pressure line leading to an internal combustion engine and that can be blocked off by means of a shutoff valve. By means of a shutoff valve, it is possible to switch off the suction jet pumps. The pressure of the pressure line acts on the shutoff valve in such a way that the shutoff valve closes at a pressure that is greater than or equal to a predetermined closing pressure.

Device for pumping fuel

The check valve according to the invention significantly reduces the generation of noise by producing an asymmetrical circulation around the closing body causing a force resulting from the flow and acting on the closing body to have a transverse component in relation to the opening direction, as a result of which increased friction and damping are generated in the closing body guide. The closing body may be asymmetrically embodied, or the housing wall encompassing the closing body may be provided with a conduit extending in the opening direction over at least a part of the travel path of the closing body.

Check valve

The flow pump has an impeller, driven in a pump chamber and having a ring of blades spaced apart from one another in the circumferential direction on at least one end face and ending at the face end of the impeller and cooperate therewith to define blade chambers. In the pump chamber, at least one feed conduit in the form of a split ring cooperates with the ring of blades on the impeller, and at least one intake opening discharging into the feed conduit is embodied in a pump chamber wall that defines the pump chamber in the direction of the pivot axis of the impeller. In an initial region at the at least one intake opening and/or in the circumferential direction of the impeller, adjoining the impeller, the feed conduit extends radially farther inward than the blade chamber bottom of the impeller, and the transition between a radially inner blade chamber bottom of the blade chambers and the associated face end of the impeller has a chamfer or rounded corner.

Pump for pumping fuel from a tank to an internal combustion engine of a motor vehicle

Aggregate for conveying fuel

An electric-motor-driven housing for a feed pump ( ), in particular for a feeding device for fuel, is proposed in which on the commutator side there is a connection cap ( ) for the electrical connection contacts ( ) and pump inlets and/or outlets ( ). The connection cap ( ) comprises an electrically conductive plastic, and a connection to a ground potential can be established via an electrically conductive connection. The surface resistance of the connection cap ( ) is designed such that a diversion of electrostatic discharge to the ground potential, with attendant shielding from electromagnetic radiation, ensues, and a predeterminable short-circuit current between the electrical connection contacts ( ) located directly on the connection cap ( ) is not exceeded.

Housing for a fuel pump driven by an electric motor

A fuel feeding module for a motor vehicle has a fuel supply tank, a storage container arranged in the fuel supply tank, a feeding aggregate arranged in the storage container and feeding fuel from the storage container to an internal combustion engine of the motor vehicle, the feeding aggregate having a driving part and a pump part which is formed as a flow pump and has a rotatably driven impeller cooperating with at least one flow passage for feeding the fuel, a jet pump which is connected with the flow passage of the pump part of the feeding aggregate and through which the fuel is fed from the fuel supply tank into the storage container, the jet pump being arranged laterally near the feeding aggregate and connected with the flow passage of the pump part by a passage which extends along the bottom of the storage container.

A unit for delivering fuel from a supply tank to an internal combustion engine, having a disklike impeller driven to revolve in a pump chamber, on whose circumference a number of blades are disposed, and having at least one supply conduit, disposed in the region of the impeller blades and open toward the impeller, in a chamber wall defining the pump chamber on the face end and axially adjoining the impeller, which supply conduit extends via a split ring around the pivot axis of the impeller from an inlet opening into the pump chamber to an outlet opening from it. In order to assure that sufficient fuel can be aspirated unthrottled in the presence of gas bubbles in the fuel, in particular when the fuel is hot, the supply conduit is embodied in the region of the inlet opening as larger by a factor of 2 than the usual supply conduit cross section; the cross section of the supply conduit then decreases continuously, beginning at the inlet end, forming a compression conduit.

Unit for delivering fuel from a supply tank to an internal combustion

A fuel pump has a pump housing, and a rotor rotatable in the pump housing and having an outer surface. The housing has an inner wall which faces the rotor and forms with the outer surface of the rotor a narrow gap. The inner wall is provided with a plurality of depressions which are independent from one another and form a sealing region.
