An electric powered vehicle, including: a frame that supports a rider; a first wheel coupled to the frame; a second wheel coupled to the frame; pedals coupled to the frame, the pedals adapted to drive at least one of the first wheel and the second wheel; an electric motor coupled to at least one of the first wheel and the second wheel; a battery that supplies electrical power to the electric motor; a physiological sensor that detects at least one physiological parameter of the rider; and a controller that regulates operation of the electric motor based on the at least one physiological parameter of the rider.

A CLA device comprises a CLA plug that is insertable into an external CLA socket, for example, a DC CLA socket inside a vehicle. The CLA device has a housing coupled to the CLA plug, for example, by integration or via a tethered wire, with the housing having a support surface. A port interface connector in the CLA device engages with a complementary port interface connector of an external device at a cantilevered support point when the external device is attached to the CLA device.

A polarity protection circuit for a battery booster device is provided. According to an exemplary embodiment, the polarity protection circuit is comprised of solid-state devices. Preferably no mechanical or electro-mechanical devices, such as solenoids are included in the polarity protection circuit. The polarity protection circuit is electrically connected to the battery to be charged and to the boosting battery. The polarity protection circuit prevents current flow between the batteries unless proper polarity is achieved.

A high frequency battery charger for charging a target battery is provided. The battery charger includes a charging circuit including a high frequency transformer, a switch switching the high frequency transformer, a filter coupled to the high frequency transformer for passing a DC voltage signal and a controller providing a high frequency driving signal to the switch. Measuring circuitry measures at least one of a voltage or a current at the target battery. A microprocessor receives the measured voltage or current and calculates diagnostics of the target battery based on at least one of the measured voltage or current.

Battery booster

An expandable cooler is provided. The cooler includes an insulating portion defining a storage cavity and an expandable portion defining a second storage cavity. The expandable portion is adapted to move between an open and a closed position. The expandable portion may be fixedly attached to the insulated portion. In a further embodiment, a telescoping handle is attached to the cooler. A hook is provided on the telescoping handle and is adapted to be received in a corresponding slot in the expandable portion. The expandable portion may be moved between the open and closed position via the handle.

A portable light includes first and second d.c. lamps. A first housing portion has longitudinal access and encloses the first lamp while projecting a first light beam in a direction of longitudinal access. The first housing portion has a exterior surface contour and includes a compartment containing an electrical device connectable to a d.c. power supply connectable in circuit with the first lamp. A second housing portion is the shape of a hand grip and extends from first side of the first housing portion in a direction transversed to the longitudinal access to the first housing portion. The second housing portion encloses the second lamp which is connectable in circuit with the electrical device for projecting a second light beam in the direction forming at an angle with the longitudinal access of the first housing portion. A support is pivotally connected to the first housing portion and is pivotable between a closed position in which the support has a shape which generally conforms to the contour of the exterior surface of the first housing portion and an open position in which the support forms a stand extending from an opposite side of the first housing portion from that of the first side of the first housing portion for stabilizing the portable light source on a surface so that one of the fist and second lamps can be directed to a work area.

A second light source is disposed at the second end of the housing. A battery is disposed in the housing. A selector selectively couples the first light source and the second light source to the battery.
