This disclosure relates to a motor vehicle, and in particular a vehicle body structure for a motor vehicle, with an extended roof reinforcement structure. An example vehicle includes an A-pillar, a roof side rail, a dash panel, and a reinforcement structure extending at least partially through the roof side rail and the A-pillar to a front end forward of the dash panel.

Extended roof reinforcement structure

This disclosure details multi-purpose brackets for mounting accessory devices within vehicle cargo spaces. Exemplary multi-purpose brackets include a doubling flange, a first opening formed through the doubling flange, and a second opening formed through another location of the bracket. A first accessory device may be mounted within the first opening, and a second accessory device may be mounted within the second opening. The multi-purpose bracket may be formed in a stamping process that involves folding and clinching the doubling flange to a platform of the bracket.

A glass run mounting assembly ('mounting assembly') for a vehicle door. The mounting assembly includes an elongated stepped bracket and an elongated plate attached to the bracket. The plate and the bracket define a channel with a glass run retention member therein. The plate has an outer surface, an inner surface, and a wall thickness therebetween. The outer surface of the plate has an appliqu&#xe9; thereto. The elongated plate offsets the appliqu&#xe9; from the glass pane substantially by one of wall thickness of the elongated plate.

A door sash header for an automotive vehicle includes a glazing seal retainer, an external trim retention portion, and a multi-channel weatherstrip retention structure which utilizes upwardly and downwardly opening channels cooperating with the door sash to retain a weatherstrip upon the header without the need for additional fastening devices such as mechanical fasteners or adhesives.
