A device may receive measurement reports for a target device, where the measurement reports include information regarding cells. The device may process the measurement reports and determine whether the target device is airborne. The device may determine, based on determining whether the target device is airborne, whether the target device is authorized to be airborne. The device may determine, based on determining whether the target device is authorized to be airborne, an altitude of the target device to confirm whether the target device is airborne. The device may perform, based on a result of confirming whether the target device is airborne, an action to identify the target device as an unauthorized airborne device and/or manage the target device.

Systems and methods for detecting an unauthorized airborne device

A system described herein may generate a map of ground stations and associated antenna beams along a flight path. Such map generation may include assigning a unique identifier to each antenna beam and associating an absolute or relative location to each beam. As an aircraft traverses the flight path, the map may be utilized to identify candidate serving ground stations and/or candidate antenna beams, whereby a likelihood of selection may be generated for each adjacent beam to a serving beam. The likelihood of selection may be calculated based on one or more predicted flight paths and associated confidence levels of the predicted flight paths. Flight paths may be predicted based on serving beam history, pre-defined flight path, and/or other relevant factors.

Systems and methods for providing network access to aircraft

A computer device, associated with a base station, may include a memory storing instructions and processor configured to execute the instructions to determine at least one of a channel quality variation or beam switching request frequency for a user equipment (UE) device communicating with the base station via wireless signals and determine a speed and direction of movement of the UE device based on the determined at least one of the channel quality variation or beam switching request frequency. The processor may be further configured to select an antenna beam pattern for the UE device based on the determined speed and direction of movement of the UE device and adjust an antenna beam associated with the UE device based on the selected antenna beam pattern.

A service provider server may receive a request for temporary wireless data service for a user device. The service provider server may determine user information associated with a user account of the user device based on the request for the temporary wireless data service. The service provider server may generate a profile for the temporary wireless data service based on the user information associated with the user account. The service provider server may provide provisioning information based on the profile for the temporary wireless data service to the user device to activate access to the temporary wireless data service. The service provider server may authenticate, after providing the provisioning information, the user device for use of the temporary wireless data service based on the provisioning information and the profile.

System and method for a dynamically active FD-MIMO antenna array adjustment system

A method, a device, and a non-transitory storage medium are described in which a network device of a radio access network receives a message, from an end device, that includes capability information of the end device, and the network device includes a first network interface to a first core network and a second network interface to a second core network. The network device determines whether to establish a first bearer, which pertains to the end device, with the first core network via the first network interface, or a second bearer, which pertains to the end device, with the second core network via the second network interface based on the capability information. The network device establishes the first bearer or the second bearer based on the determination.

Method and system for internetworking with future generation network

A user device receives system information block data from a cell. The user device obtains, from the system information block data, cell metadata that includes a cellular parameter. The user device parses the cell metadata to identify the cellular parameter. The cellular parameter includes an upper layer indicator element, a public land mobile network (PLMN) information list element, and a network capability indicator element. The user device determines, based on the cellular parameter, that the cell is of a particular cell type of a plurality of cell types, and that the cell has a particular capability of a plurality of types of capabilities. The user device performs an action based on the particular cell type or the particular capability.

A network device receives, from a network management system (NMS), a first traffic distribution associated with the FD-MIMO antenna site, and receives a first service reliability requirement associated with the FD-MIMO antenna site. The network device determines, based on physical constraints, a maximum number of a plurality of antenna base blocks that can be placed at a full-dimension multiple input multiple output (FD-MIMO) antenna site, wherein each of the plurality of antenna base blocks includes a plurality of antennas. The network device further determines a first number of antennas to switch into the FD-MIMO antenna site based on the determined maximum number of the plurality of antenna base blocks, the first traffic distribution, and the first service reliability requirement; and causes the first number of antennas to be switched into the FD-MIMO antenna site.
