A measuring system includes a vibration-type transducer and electrically coupled measuring system electronics unit for controlling the transducer and evaluating vibration measurement signals provided by the transducer. The exciter arrangement has a vibration exciter which is positioned and aligned such that a drive offset is no more than 0.5% of the tube length. The measuring system electronics are configured to supply electrical power to the vibration exciter by means of an electrical drive signal having a temporally variable electrical current and to provide the drive signal at least intermittently with a sinusoidal second useful current having a second AC frequency, in order to monitor a quality of the measured substance based upon a corresponding second useful signal component of at least one of the vibration measurement signals.

Vibronic measuring system

A measuring system includes a vibration-type transducer including a tube and measuring system electronics electrically coupled to a vibration exciter and a sensor assembly, wherein at a drive point, the vibration exciter is positioned such that a drive offset is no more than 3 mm and/or less than 0.5% of the tube length, and wherein a vibration node of a second or higher order, lies within the reference cross-sectional area, and wherein the measuring system electronics is configured to both provide a drive signal with a sinusoidal current having a frequency such that the frequency deviates from a resonant frequency of a vibration mode of a second order naturally intrinsic to the tube by less than 1% of the resonant frequency and/or by less than 1 Hz, and to perform a self-diagnosis of the measuring system based on a corresponding signal component of at least one vibration measurement signal.

The measuring-device system comprises two measuring devices and an evaluating- and supply electronics. Each of the measuring devices has a measured variable transducer and a measurement transmitter. Each of the transducers is adapted to react to a measured variable and to provide a corresponding transducer signal. The first measurement transmitter includes an interface circuit both for wired energy supply and for wired signal transmission on a two-wire loop. The second measurement transmitter includes an interface circuit for wired energy supply and a radio unit. The evaluating- and supply electronics feeds electrical power into the two-wire loop during operation. Both measurement transmitters are adapted to draw electrical power from the electrical current loop. Additionally, the first measurement transmitter is adapted to transmit its measurement signal via the electrical current loop to the evaluating- and supply electronics.

A measuring system includes: a lumen forming a flow path and a flow obstruction arranged in the flow path for effecting a disturbance in a flowing fluid; a sensor arrangement adapted to produce a first sensor signal and a second sensor signal; and transmitter electronics. The transmitter electronics are adapted to receive both the first and second sensor signals and to convert such into first and second sensor signal sampling sequences approximating the first and second sensor signals, respectively, the transmitter electronics further adapted using a digital adaptive filter to ascertain from the first sampling sequence a filter coefficients set and therewith to form a z-transfer function for filtering the second sampling sequence such that the z-transfer function is determined by the filter coefficients set, the signal filter and the second sampling sequence to produce a wanted signal sequence, to produce therefrom digital measured values representing a measurement variable.

Connector apparatus for a field device as well as field device with such a connector apparatus

A measuring system comprises a measuring transducer of vibration-type having a tube arrangement, an exciter arrangement, a sensor arrangement, and a measuring system electronics. The measuring system electronics is adapted in a first operating mode to supply current to the oscillation exciters whereby the tube arrangement executes wanted oscillations with an oscillation frequency predetermined by the driver signals and to receive and to evaluate oscillation measurement signals representing oscillatory movements of the wanted oscillations. The measuring system electronics is further adapted in a second operating mode to supply current to the oscillation exciters that only the tube executes wanted oscillations and the tube executes no wanted oscillations while nevertheless executing mechanical oscillations coupled with the wanted oscillations of the tube and to receive and to evaluate both oscillation measurement signals representing oscillatory movements of the wanted oscillations and also oscillation measurement signals representing oscillatory movements of the coupled oscillations.

A measuring device comprising at least two output units for output of measured values, wherein the output units are optically coupled. The optical coupling effects a lessening of the manufacturing effort as well as a galvanic isolation of the output units.

Measuring device of measuring- and automation technology

The present disclosure relates to a measurement arrangement including a sensor, an electronics module, a signal cable having a cable circuit, and a superordinate unit. The sensor is releasably pluggable to the electronics module which itself is releasably pluggable to the signal cable. The signal cable is connected with the superordinate unit. The plug connections between the sensor and the electronics module and between the electronics module and the signal cable may be galvanically isolated. The sensor outputs digital data in a first format to the electronics module. The electronics module outputs digital data in a second format to the signal cable. The superordinate unit is configured to receive and to process the digital data in the second format.

Measurement arrangement

A measuring transducer comprises two flow dividers having, in each case, two tubular chambers separated from one another and adapted for guiding in- and out flowing fluid, of which each has a chamber floor, in which are formed, in each case, two mutually spaced flow openings communicating with a lumen of the chamber, and as well as a tube arrangement having at least four measuring tubes connected to the flow dividers for guiding flowing fluid with parallel flow. Moreover, the measuring transducer comprises an electromechanical exciter mechanism for exciting mechanical oscillations of the measuring tubes as well as a sensor arrangement for registering oscillatory movements of the measuring tubes and for generating at least two oscillation measurement signals representing oscillations of at least one of the measuring tubes. The measuring system includes besides the measuring transducer also transmitter electronics electrically connected therewith for activating the exciter mechanism and for processing at least one of the oscillation measurement signals generated by the sensor arrangement.

Measuring transducer of vibration-type as well as measuring system formed therewith

The connection apparatus of the invention comprises a platform (), a plug connector () having a plug connector part () secured to the platform () and electrically connected to the circuit of the field device and a plug connector part () connectable with the connection cable and complementary to the first plug connector part (), as well as a lid () held movably relative to the platform () for at least partially covering the plug connector () formed by connecting the plug connector parts (). The lid () is swingable between a first end position, in which the lid () at least partially covers the plug connector, and a second end position, and is additionally adapted in at least one open position located between the first end position and the second end position to expose the plug connector such that the plug connector part () can be separated from the plug connector part (), as well as at least in the first end position to secure the plug connector part () connected with the plug connector part ().

A measuring transducer for registering and/or monitoring at least one process variable of a flowable medium guided in a pipeline, which at least includes: a housing module, which is mechanically coupled with the pipeline via an inlet end and an outlet end, and a sensor module having at least one measuring tube held oscillatably at least partially in the housing module and caused, at least at times, to oscillate. The at least one component of the housing module and/or of the sensor module is manufactured by means of a generative method and method for manufacturing at least one component of a measuring transducer, which method includes manufacturing the at least one component by means of a primary forming process, especially by means of a layered applying and/or melting-on of a powder, especially a metal powder, based on a digital data set, which gives at least the shape and/or the material and/or the structure of the at least one component.

Measuring transducer of vibration-type

A connection apparatus comprises a platform, a plug connector having a plug connector part secured to the platform and electrically connected to the circuit of the field device and a plug connector part connectable with the connection cable and complementary to the first plug connector part, as well as a lid held movably relative to the platform for at least partially covering the plug connector formed by connecting the plug connector parts. The lid is swingable between a first end position, in which the lid at least partially covers the plug connector, and a second end position, and is additionally adapted in at least one open position located between the first end position and the second end position to expose the plug connector such that the plug connector part can be separated from the plug connector part, as well as at least in the first end position to secure the plug connector part connected with the plug connector part.

The measuring system comprises: a vibration element for guiding flowing medium and having a lumen; and a vibration element, which is adapted to be contacted, at least at times, by a part of the medium. Additionally, the measuring system includes at least two oscillation exciters for exciting resonant oscillations of the respective vibration elements, two mutually spaced oscillation sensors for registering vibrations of the vibration element, each of which generates an oscillatory signal dependent on vibrations of the vibration element, as well as at least one oscillation sensor for registering vibrations of the vibration element and generating, dependent on vibrations of the vibration element, an oscillatory signal, which has a signal frequency corresponding to a resonant frequency, of the vibration element. Moreover, the measuring system also comprises a measuring and operating electronics, which based on a phase difference, existing between the oscillation signals and based on the signal frequency of the oscillation signal generates a measured value representing the volume flow rate, respectively the volume flow.

Measuring system for ascertaining a volume flow and/or a volume flow rate of a medium flowing in a pipeline

A method for detecting accretion or abrasion on a first measuring tube of a flow measuring device. A first temperature as a function of time is registered via a first temperature sensor, which is arranged on the first measuring tube in such a manner that, between the first temperature sensor and the medium, at least one measuring tube wall of the first measuring tube is embodied. Parallel in time, a second reference temperature as a function of time is registered by a second temperature sensor, which is spaced from the first temperature sensor and thermally coupled to the medium. Therefrom, at least one variable characteristic is determined, and accretion or abrasion on the first measuring tube is detected, if the at least one determined characteristic variable or a variable derived therefrom deviates by more than a limit value from a predetermined reference variable.

Method for detecting accretion or abrasion in a flow measuring device

A method for determining the viscosity of a medium with a Coriolis mass flowmeter having at last two measuring tubes through which a medium can flow, comprising: exciting the measuring tubes; and determining at least the viscosity of the medium by evaluation of measured values obtained from the measuring device. The measuring values comprise the amplitude of torsional oscillation reached, wherein the amplitude of torsional oscillation reached is evaluated for determining the viscosity of the medium at a set excitation intensity of the measuring device and using the damping coefficient of the medium.
