A headband apparatus is to be worn on the head of a person above the eyes. The headband apparatus includes a fabric band and a channel member. The fabric band retains the headband apparatus on the user's head and may either be moisture absorbing or moisture wicking. The channel member is bonded to the lower edge of the fabric band such that excess moisture from the fabric band is directed into the channel member and channeled away from the person's eyes.

Headband apparatus for wicking and directing perspiration

A bicycle carrier for a vehicle including a frame, a crossbar assembly, a wheel tray, and a swing arm pivotally secured to the crossbar assembly. The wheels of the bicycle are positioned in the tray and secured by a tray coupling to restrain lateral movement. Two trays may be secured to the crossbar assembly to each receive a wheel of the bicycle. The swing arm pivots on the crossbar assembly and includes a shoe which engages the bicycle wheel. A shoe coupling secures the bicycle wheel to the swing arm. Two swing arms could be pivotally secured to the crossbar assembly each to engage a bicycle wheel. The frame may include a drawbar for insertion into the receiver of a trailer hitch. Additional crossbar assemblies could be secured to the frame to accommodate multiple bicycles.

Bicycle carrier

A recumbent step exercise machine including a frame, a seat supported from the frame, and a drive mechanism supported from the frame. The drive mechanism includes a first and a second pedal, at least one axle shaft, at least one clutch, a speed increaser, and a brake. The first and the second pedal assemblies are each linked to at least one shaft by a linkage assembly. Each of the shafts are drivingly engaged to at least one clutch. The linkage assemblies act as levers that translate the reciprocating motion of the pedal assemblies into rotational motion of the shaft. Each linkage assembly extends downwardly from the shaft to which it is drivingly engaged and terminates with the pedal assembly. A first and a second arm mechanism may be linked through the linkage assembly to the first and second pedal assembly.

Recumbent stepper exercise machine

The pedal crank of the present invention includes a cam having a channel therein, a hub fixed to the shaft of the exercise machine, an arm operable with a cam follower and a pair of rods. The arm includes the pedal or other force applying member of the exercise machine, and the cam follower extends into the channel of the cam. The rods extend from the hub to the arm such that the distance between the hub and the arm may vary according to the length of the rods. The shaft of the exercise machine extends through an eccentric hole in the cam. A pair of channels are machined in either the hub or the arm in which the rods reciprocate. The pedal crank is capable of extension to a maximum length of the rods which corresponds to the range of maximum biomechanical force applied to the leg of the user to the pedal or other force applying member of the exercise machine. The pedal crank then retracts in length on rotation to a point corresponding to the minimum biomechanical force. In this way, the maximum force benefit is achieved while leg/knees stress is reduced over the range of motion when compared to traditional fixed length pedal cranks.

Pedal crank

The present invention includes a footbed for an elliptical exercise machine designed to pivot during the elliptical range of rotation thereby allowing the user's foot to dictate the angle of the footbed throughout that entire path of rotation. The footbed assembly includes, generally, a platform, two posts, footpad, saddle, and pads. The platform or plate mount is mounted to the elongated rails of the elliptical machine with the posts extending vertically therefrom. The footpad includes wings extending from on each side. The wings are bent upwardly such that they extend above the surface of the footpad. The upward point of the wings are pivotally secured to the posts such that the pivot point is a distance above the plane of the footpad.

Footbed for elliptical exercise machine

An apparatus for protecting the open end of the female half of a metallic hydraulic line coupler when the female half is not coupled to the male half of the coupler is provided. The apparatus includes a magnetic cover member releasably attachable to the female half of the coupler by the exertion of magnetic force thereon. The cover member has a first surface which completely covers the open end of the female half of the coupler when the cover member is magnetically attached thereto. Magnetic force deflecting means are attached to the magnetic cover member for redirecting at least a substantial portion of any of the magnetic force directed away from the female half of the coupler toward the female half of the coupler.
