Data about content of the videos is organized into threads for the videos. The threads also contain video bookmarks. Different data are associated with different video bookmarks. The video bookmarks include a frame of the video that marks a time point in the video corresponding to the associated data. The video bookmarks enabling playback of the video from the marked time point. The threads are stored and published to allow subsequent searching by third parties. The video bookmarks can be shared with the third parties.

While a stream device is streaming a media program from a multimedia device to a client device, the streaming device may be configured to send a first portion of the media program to the client device, where the first portion is transcoded from a first format into a second different format and adapted for a first playing mode of the client device. The streaming device may be configured to receive an indication of a user command from the client device specifying a second different playing mode of the client device. The streaming device may be configured to send a second different portion of the media program to the client device, where the second portion is transcoded from the first format to the second format and adapted for the second playing mode of the client device.

Wireless media streaming system

A system for synchronization of data processing in a data processing system including multiple command queues is disclosed. The disclosed data processing system includes one or more processing engines associated with one or more command queues. The use of multiple command queues supports multiple priority levels, such that commands in higher priority queues may preempt commands in lower priority queues. Data processing is synchronized by queue commands that allow a processing engine to queue commands on the command queue of any processing engine in the data processing system, including its own. Multiple data dependencies are resolved by conditional queue commands and event counters that queue a command only when all of the conditions precedent to execution of a particular data processing command are satisfied. The hardware queuing of the disclosed invention advantageously synchronizes data processing with minimal software supervision and with minimal latency.
