A system for wireless communications includes an antenna and a controller, the antenna configured to transmit electrical data signals, the electrical data signals including an encoded message signal. The encoded message signal including one or more encoded message words. The controller is configured to encode one or more message words, of a message signal, into one or more encoded message words of the encoded message signal, based on a coding format. The coding format correlates each of a plurality of correlated ratios with one of a plurality of format words. Each of the plurality of correlated ratios is a ratio of a duty cycle of a pulse to a respective period associated with one or both of the duty cycle and the pulse. Each of the one or more encoded message words are encoded as one of the plurality of correlated ratios.

A method for providing an electronic device includes manufacturing the electronic device at a manufacturing location, wherein manufacturing the electronic device includes connecting a wireless receiver system to the electronic device. The method further includes packaging the electronic device at a packaging location. A sensing system includes a sensor, a wireless transmission system, a wireless receiver system, and a controller. The sensor is configured to determine sensor data, the sensor data associated with a sensing environment. The wireless transmission system is configured to wirelessly couple with the sensor, the wireless transmission system configured for wirelessly providing significant electrical energy to the sensor as wireless power signals and receive the sensor data as in-band data signals encoded in the wireless power signals. The wireless receiver system is operatively associated with the sensor and with which the wireless transmission system couples with the sensor and is configured to receive the significant electrical energy as the wireless power signals from the wireless transmission system. The controller is operatively associated with the wireless transmission system and is configured to decode the in-band signals from the wireless power signals as the sensor data.

The test controller is configured to generate testing signals for transmission to at least one of the plurality of electronic devices and receive testing data, in response to the testing signals. A wireless transmission system includes a transmitter antenna, a sensor, a demodulation circuit, and a transmitter controller. The sensor is configured to detect electrical information associated with AC wireless signals, the electrical information including, at least, a voltage of the AC wireless signals. The demodulation circuit is configured to receive the electrical information from the at least one sensor, detect a change in the electrical information, determine if the change in the electrical information meets or exceeds one of a rise threshold or a fall threshold, if the change exceeds one of the rise threshold or the fall threshold, generate an alert, and output a plurality of data alerts. The transmitter controller is configured to receive the plurality of data alerts from the demodulation circuit and decode the plurality of data alerts into the wireless data signals.

A method for operating a wireless power transfer system includes determining a driving signal for transfer of the AC wireless signals, the driving signals based on an operating frequency for the AC wireless signals, a power requirement for the wireless power signals, data contained in the wireless data signals, and one or more thermal mitigation features. Each of the one or more thermal mitigation features are configured to reduce temperature of at least one surface or volume of the wireless transmission system or the wireless receiver system. The method further includes providing the driving signal to an amplifier of the wireless power transmission system and driving a transmitter antenna of the wireless power transmission system, by the amplifier, based on the driving signal.

A second receiver antenna is configured to couple with a second transmission antenna and receive virtual DC power signals from the second transmitter antenna. A first receiver power conditioning system is configured to receive the virtual AC power signals, convert the virtual AC power signals to AC received power signals, and provide the AC received power signals to power the first electrical component. The second receiver power conditioning system configured to receive the virtual DC power signals, convert the virtual DC power signals to DC received power signals, and provide the DC received power signals to power the second electrical component.

Wireless power transfer systems, disclosed, include a wireless power transmission system and a wireless power receiver system. The wireless power transmission system includes a transmitter antenna configured to couple with a receiver antenna to transmit alternating current (AC) wireless signals to the receiver antenna. Antenna coupling may be inductive and may operate in conformance to a wireless power and data transfer protocol. A transmission controller drives the transmitter antenna at an operating frequency, and either the wireless power transmission system or the wireless power receiver system may damp the wireless power transmission to create a data signal containing a serial asynchronous data signal.
