The present disclosure relates to systems, non-transitory computer-readable media, and methods that provide and apply dynamic image filters to modify digital images over time to simulate a dynamical system. Such dynamic image filters can modify a digital image to progress through different frames depicting visual effects mimicking natural and/or artificial qualities of a fluid, gas, chemical, cloud formation, fractal, or various physical matters or phenomena according to a dynamic-simulation function. Upon detecting a selection of a dynamic image filter, the disclosed systems can identify a dynamic-simulation function corresponding to the dynamical system. Based on selecting a portion of the (or entire) digital image at which to apply the dynamic image filter, the disclosed systems incrementally modify the digital image across time steps to simulate the dynamical system according to the dynamic-simulation function.

The present disclosure is directed toward systems and methods for tracking objects in videos. For example, one or more embodiments described herein utilize various tracking methods in combination with an image search index made up of still video frames indexed from a video. One or more embodiments described herein utilize a backward and forward tracking method that is anchored by one or more key frames in order to accurately track an object through the frames of a video, even when the video is long and may include challenging conditions.

Robust tracking of objects in videos

A method and computer program product is provided for an online bidding system. The method may include receiving a plurality of bids from a plurality of online bidding communities during a live auction event at one of a primary technology provider and a relying technology provider, wherein the live auction event simultaneously occurs on a physical auction floor and virtually. The method may also include processing the plurality of bids at the primary technology provider. The method may further include providing the processed plurality of bids to a single designated clerking console associated with the primary technology provider for the live auction event. The method may also include receiving an accepted bid from the single designated clerking console.

A pet monitoring device is disclosed that's wearable by a pet for recording and communicating the pet's movements within an environment in which radio frequency identifier (RFID) tags have been strategically placed. The device includes: a transmitter configured to send a radio signal to an area surrounding a pet's location; a receiver configured to receive a reflected radio signal from an RFID tag within the area; a processor configured to identify the RFID tag of the reflected radio signal; and a database in which the processor stores times and locations of identified RFID tags in the environment such that the times and locations are indicative of behavior of the pet in the environment. The device can be used for behavioral analysis, tracking key indicators related to the well-being of the pet, such as when a pet eats and drinks water, and how the pet behaves during recovery from an injury.

In general, in one aspect, a forum for user interaction is provided. A clone of the forum is created, thereby allowing any number of users to be in the same forum while limiting the number of users in each instance of the forum. Populating online forums

A system, method, and computer program product are provided for focusing computing power to a region of interest that can be changed interactively and arbitrarily during the process of image synthesis. In operation, a problem domain is partitioned utilizing a first selected technique. Additionally, a number of samples to be drawn per partition are assigned utilizing a second selected technique. Furthermore, the assigned number of samples are drawn for each partition, where the samples are generated by only one deterministic sample sequence. Still yet, the partitioning, assigning, and drawing are capable of being repeated such that existing partitions and assignments are capable of remaining unchanged during sampling and a convergence speed is adapted without compromising convergence in at least one of a sequential computing environment or a parallel computing environment. In this way, the convergence of image synthesis is not compromised. In fact, the image synthesis process may converge to the same solution that would have been obtained without interaction.

A server within an online environment is configured to store a set of bookmark media objects that provide a multimedia preview of the destinations within the environment. The bookmark media objects can be graphic thumbnails of corresponding web pages, audio streams, video streams or any combination thereof or other suitable media that provides a representation of the destination. A client device is communicatively coupled to the server and is configured to store references to the network destinations and references to the corresponding bookmark media objects. A web browser executing in an operating environment provided by the client device is configured to retrieve and present the bookmark media objects to a user for selection. Based on the selection, the web browser accesses the corresponding network destination. Each bookmark media object is updated as a function of a current state of the corresponding network destination, user information or general conditions of the computing environment.

An optical routing mechanism is provided that may be used in a wavelength router configured to receive light having multiple spectral bands from an input fiber and to direct subsets of the spectral bands to respective output fibers. A free-space optical train provides optical paths for routing the spectral bands between the input fiber and the output fibers. The optical routing mechanism has multiple configurable routing elements to determine how each spectral band is directed. A common surface integrally mates the optical routing mechanism with end portions of the input and output fibers, permitting effective planarization of some optical elements.

A canine waste collection appliance and waste disposal method are disclosed. The collection appliance includes a handle connected to a frame. The frame includes a right portion, a left portion and an end portion. The right portion includes a proximal end and a distal end. The left portion includes a proximal end and a distal end. An end portion is provided intermediate the distal end of the right portion and the distal end of the left portion. The end portion includes a thin slot thereon. A paper element, such as a paper towel would be partially threaded through the thin slot and folded about the end portion. The paper towel would be also folded about the right portion and the left portion and the excess paper towel would be wound about the connection of the handle with the right portion and the left portion. The dog, in preparation for defecation, rounds its back, then squats and defecates. Prior to the defecation, the appliance is placed on the ground to permit the waste to fall into the paper towel held thereon. The paper towel is released from the appliance and the waste and the used paper towel may be flushed down a toilet. In this case the waste material would be dumped from the paper towel into the toilet bowl followed by the paper towel. By flushing the toilet the waste and paper towel would be disposed of in a simple and environmentally friendly manner. Alternatively, the paper towel and waste may be disposed of in a conventional manner.
