A camshaft phaser arrangement configured for a concentric camshaft assembly having inner and outer camshafts is provided. The camshaft phaser arrangement includes a first camshaft phaser, a second camshaft phaser, and a coupling that non-rotatably connects the first camshaft phaser to the concentric camshaft assembly. Each of the camshaft phasers is configured to be connected to either the inner or the outer camshaft. The coupling accommodates for radial and axial offset between the first camshaft phaser and the second camshaft phaser.

A camshaft phaser arrangement configured for a concentric camshaft assembly having inner and outer camshafts is provided. Hydraulically actuated camshaft phasers for concentrically arranged camshafts

A camshaft phaser arrangement configured for a concentric camshaft assembly having inner and outer camshafts is provided. The camshaft phaser arrangement includes a first camshaft phaser, a second camshaft phaser, and a coupling that torsionally connects the first camshaft phaser to the second camshaft phaser. Each of the camshaft phasers is configured to be connected to either the inner or the outer camshaft. The coupling includes at least one flexible connector that provides for radial and axial movement between the first camshaft phaser and the second camshaft phaser.

A camshaft phaser, including: a drive sprocket; a phaser section including a rotor with a first radially aligned channels, first axially aligned channels connected to the first radially aligned channels, and chambers formed by the rotor and a stator; and a rotor nose separately formed from the phaser section and non-rotatably connected to the phaser section, extending past a front side of the phaser section in an axial direction, and including second radially aligned channels and second axially aligned channels connected to the second radially aligned channels and the first axially aligned channels. The second radially aligned channels are arranged to receive fluid for the plurality of chambers to phase the phaser. Dual independent phasing system with separate oil feeds

A rotor for a camshaft phaser assembly for an internal combustion engine. The rotor includes a base portion from which protrudes a plurality of vanes spaced over the circumference of the base portion of the rotor. An increased diameter stepped portion of the base portion of the rotor is provided over at least one section between at least two of the protruding vanes. The increased diameter portion allows for insertion of at least one locking pin assembly within the base portion of the rotor, reducing the remaining rotor base portion diameter to at least reduce material weight and size of the camshaft phaser assembly.

The camshaft phaser is affixed to one end of a concentric camshaft. The phaser is a vane-type camshaft phaser where the stator and the sprocket are fixed to the outer camshaft and the trigger wheel and rotor are fixed to the inner camshaft. The torsion spring is mounted on an outer wall of the stator, between the stator and the trigger wheel. The phaser is a compact unit with a high degree of reliability.
