The invention relates to a mixing device which is arranged in a flow channel and a mixing method for mixing a fluid flowing through the flow channel in a main direction of flow. The mixing device has a plurality of mixer disks which generate leading edge eddies in a fluid flowing through the flow channel in a main direction of flow. The mixer disks are arranged in mixer disk rows in row axes running essentially across the main direction of flow. The mixer disk rows are arranged side by side in the main direction of flow in a common flow channel section where the mixer disks of neighboring mixer disk rows are alternately angled in a positive angle of attack and in a negative angle of attack with respect to the main direction of flow. According to this process, the fluid flowing through the flow channel is mixed thoroughly by a leading edge eddy system, whereby in the mixing method presented here at least two contra-rotating leading edge eddy systems are generated in a common flow channel section.

Mixing device

The present invention relates to an exhaust gas guide of a gas turbine, which is situated between the gas turbine and a downstream waste heat boiler or a downstream gas diverter and which comprises a flow channel which has a cross-section expanding in at least some areas in the main flow direction, having installed surfaces influencing the flow. In order to achieve a more compact implementation of the exhaust gas guide and simultaneously avoid or reduce pressure losses, the installed surfaces are implemented as a swirl device generating a leading edge swirl, which is situated in the diverging area of the flow channel and is implemented to distribute the exhaust gas flow uniformly over the flow cross-sectional area upon entry into the waste heat boiler or the gas diverter. Furthermore, the present invention relates to a method for mixing the exhaust gas of a gas turbine with hot exhaust gas streams generated in an auxiliary firing of at least one burner. This thorough mixing is achieved by generating at least one leading edge swirl system in the flow channel.

Exhaust gas guide of a gas turbine and method for mixing the exhaust gas of the gas turbine

The invention relates to a gas supply for an electrostatic filter and an electrostatic filter arrangement which has an electrostatic filter and a gas supply. Here, the gas supply has an incoming flow channel of constant cross-sectional area, a gas inlet hood with cross-sectional area expanding in the direction of the electrostatic filter, and an admixture arrangement for a conditioning means, wherein at least one flow distributor is arranged in the expanded cross-sectional region of the gas inlet hood. Characterizing features include a first vortex arrangement generating a leading-edge vortex arranged in the incoming flow channel, a second vortex arrangement generating a leading-edge vortex arranged in the gas inlet hood before the flow divider in the gas flow direction, and the admixture arrangement arranged in the region of one of the two vortex arrangements.

Gas supply for electrostatic filter and electrostatic filter arrangement

A mixer for mixing at least two flows of gas or other Newtonian liquids is provided herein. The mixer includes a main flow channel through which a first flow of gas passes, with an incorporated surface that is arranged therein and which affects the flow. This incorporated surface has leading edges that are orientated against the flow and about which the flow can move freely; the leading edges include a component that acts in the direction of the main flow of the gas flow as well as a component that acts transversely thereto. In order to ensure that an additional gas or liquid component is mixed in rapidly, provision is made such that the incorporated structure surface has a chamber into which a separate flow channel for a second gas flow leads and the chamber has outlet openings into the first gas flow on a rear side of the incorporated surface that faces away from the first gas flow.

Mixer for mixing at least two flows of gas or other newtonian liquids

The invention provides a mixer for mixing gases and other Newton liquids, with a flow channel and built-in surfaces arranged in the flow channel that influence the flow. The built-in surfaces are vortex-generating surfaces with free surging leading edges directed against the flow whose path, the surging leading edges having both a component running in the main flow direction of the gas and a component running transverse to it. To make mixing fast and the mixing distance short, several built-in surfaces of the same type are arranged in a row basically transverse to the main flow direction. Built-in surfaces next to one another overlap in relation to the main flow direction.

Mixer for mixing gases and other newton liquids

A cooling tower is provided including a cooling chamber with a bottom-to-top cooling air flow and a water injection system having spray nozzles horizontally distributed within the cooling chamber. A first air intake and a second air intake lead into the cooling chamber from below and, respectively, laterally from above the water injection system. The second air intake is implemented by a pipe, protruding into the interior of the cooling chamber, the pipe having at least two stages, beginning with a first stage next to a wall of the cooling chamber, the stages having progressively reduced flow cross-sections.
