A system is disclosed for cleaning an object, such as a heat exchanger including a bundle of feed-through tubes extending between two end plates. In an embodiment, the system includes a connection body for connecting the system to an object, a holder for holding a cleaning device and a moving system for moving the holder with respect to the connection body in a first direction and a second direction at least having a component perpendicular to the first direction. The moving system includes a rotation motor and a linear motor.

System for cleaning an object such as a heat exchanger

A heat exchanger cleaning device is provided. The cleaning device includes a drive motor configured to rotate a gearbox, a slip clutch, and a support beam about a first axis. The support beam carries a thread rod, a second motor, and one or more carriage assemblies. The carriage assemblies move linearly as the second motor rotates the threaded rod. The carriage assemblies include a support tube for receiving an ultra-high pressure tube therethrough. The carriage assemblies adjust relative to the heat exchanger such that the UHP tube may be inserted through the support tube into a hole of the heat exchanger. Therein the UHP tube may be advanced to clean sediment from the heat exchanger tube.

Method and apparatus for cleaning tubes in a rotary path

A heat exchanger cleaning device is provided. The cleaning device includes a drive motor configured to rotate a gearbox, a slip clutch and a support beam about a first axis. The support beam carries a thread rod, a second motor, and one or more carriage assemblies. The carriage assemblies move linearly as the second motor rotates the threaded rod. The carriage assemblies include a support tube for receiving an ultra-high pressure tube therethrough. The carriage assemblies adjust relative to the heat exchanger such that the UHP tube may be inserted through the support tube into a hole of the heat exchanger. Therein the UHP tube may be advanced to clean sediment from the heat exchanger tube.

A tool for cleaning a heat exchanger that includes a lance, and an articulated arm fixedly attached to the heat exchanger at a first end, and associated with the lance at a second end. The articulated arm has at least two joints so that the articulated arm can move the lance along two axes in a plane substantially parallel to the tube face of the heat exchanger. The tool further includes a lance transport mechanism attached to the second end of the articulated arm that moves toward and away from the tube face of the heat exchanger in a direction substantially perpendicular to the tube face, the lance transport mechanism attached to the lance so that the lance moves toward and away from the tube face along with the lance transport mechanism.

Heat exchanger cleaning tool with three axis control

A one-piece garment device containing safety features to help prevent injuries to miners and other workers. A lifting assistance mechanism is incorporated.
