An injection device comprising a housing with a receptacle for a product, a dosing mechanism for setting a product dosage to be administered and for displaying the set product dosage and a dispensing mechanism for dispensing the product. The dispensing mechanism may include a piston rod, at least one sleeve rotatable relative to the housing to eject the set product dosage, and a button moveable relative to the housing and relative to the at least one sleeve in a dispensing direction from a dosing position into a dispensing position to eject the set product dosage. The injection device can further include a first detector for detecting a position of the button relative to the housing or the at least one sleeve, a second detector for detecting rotational movement of the at least one sleeve or a component part coupled to the at least one sleeve and a feedback generator mechanism.

Injection device

The present disclosure relates to an information acquisition system, an electronic device and to a method of acquiring delivery information of a drug delivery device configured for delivery of a dose of a medicament. The drug delivery device includes a housing and a mechanically implemented post-dispensing indicator. A configuration of the post-dispensing indicator visible from outside the drug delivery device is indicative of a size of a dose previously delivered by the drug delivery device. An image of the post-dispensing indicator is captured after delivery of the dose. —The image is processed and the configuration of the post-dispensing indicator is recognized in the image. A dose size is derived from the recognized configuration of the post-dispensing indicator. The dose size is assigned with a timestamp, storing the dose size with the timestamp in a storage.

Method and electronic device for acquiring delivery information

A data collection device comprises an attachment assembly for attaching the data collection device to a dose setting dial of a medicament administration device and a sensor configured to detected an identifier provided on a surface of an internal component of the medicament administration device, the sensor comprising an ultrasound sensor configured to detect a geometric identifier formed on the surface of the internal component of the medicament administration device. Data collection apparatus for attachment to an injection device

A dosing mechanism for a drug delivery device is provided for selecting and dispensing user-variable doses of a medicament. The mechanism includes a housing, a piston rod, and a drive configured to rotate the piston rod and/or a movement application component directly engaged with the piston rod in a dispense rotational direction relative to the housing. A rotational end-stop mechanism terminates dose dispense and includes a first engagement element rotationally fixed to the piston rod and/or the movement application component, and a second engagement element that is constrained against rotation relative to the housing at the end of dose dispense. To improve dose accuracy, the second engagement element remains out of direct engagement with the first engagement element during dispensing, and only at the end of dose dispense directly engages the first engagement element to provide a rotational stop. A drug delivery device incorporating the dosing mechanism is also disclosed.

The present disclosure refers to a drug delivery device including, a dose setting and/or drive mechanism including a stationary housing having at least one internal groove on an inner surface; a driver positioned within the housing which is moveable relative to the housing during dose dialing and which is moveable relative to the housing during dose dispensing; and at least one flexible tab that is biased to engage the at least one internal groove such that the at least one flexible tab repeatedly engages and disengages the at least one internal groove during dose dialing or during dose dispensing, thereby performing an oscillating movement between two positions including a first position in which the at least one flexible tab engages the at least one internal groove and a second position in which the at least one flexible tab is disengaged from the at least one internal groove.

An injection device including a housing, a dose indicator, and a release mechanism. The dose indicator is positioned within the internal space of the housing and includes a number of engaging members at least one thereof being configured to contact multiple of distinct ratchet features in course of a helical or screwing movement in distinct positions to provide a user with a tactile indexing appearance in the way of an increased or decreased dwelling torque at each of the multiple distinct positions. The release mechanism is connected to the dose indicator and includes a drive member. The release mechanism is configured to, when activated during dose dispense, urge the engaging members away from the distant position and against the force of the resilient bias thereby suspending the indexing ratchet appearance at least for a subset of the multiple distinct positions.

A medicament delivery device comprising: a main body arranged to receive a medicament cartridge sealed with a penetrable barrier; a needle carrier carrying a needle; a cap removably coupled to the needle carrier, a pre-stressed spring connected to the needle carrier and to the main body, wherein the pre-stressed spring is held by an activation element coupled to the cap, wherein the activation element is arranged to release the spring when the cap is pulled in a distal direction from the device, thereby causing the needle carrier to move axially in a proximal direction.

A supplementary device for an injection device is disclosed. The injection device has a control dial that is rotatably mounted about an axis at a proximal end of the injection device, and the supplementary device is attachable to the control dial. The supplementary device includes a sleeve adapted to be positioned over the control dial when the supplementary device is attached to the injection device. The supplementary device also includes an axial attachment member arranged such that insertion of the control dial into the sleeve moves the axial attachment member from an initial position that permits axial movement of the control dial into the sleeve, into an engagement position in which the axial attachment member engages the control dial to axially attach the supplementary device to the control dial.

Data collection devices for attachment to injection devices are disclosed. In one embodiment, the data collection device includes: a body attachable to a dial member of the injection device, a sensor arrangement comprising a sensor and a scale, and a processor. The sensor is configured to detect a rotation of the body relative to a trigger of the injection device. The processor is configured to detect a rotation of the body relative to the trigger. One of the sensor and the scale is arranged in or on the body and wherein the other one of the sensor and the scale is located on the trigger or is rotationally lockable to the trigger configured to detect a rotation of the body relative to the trigger.

The electronic add-on module may comprise a first portion with a main housing defining a longitudinal axis. The module comprises a gripping mechanism allowing attachment to drug delivery device dose dial user interfaces, e.g., a dial grip, and/or drug delivery device injection user interfaces, e.g., a dose button of varying diameters and shapes.
