A redundant network system includes a compute node having a network interface card includes a node port. The redundant network system includes a primary switch having a primary switch component and a primary switch port coupled to the primary switch component. The redundant network system includes a secondary switch having a secondary switch component and a secondary switch port coupled to the secondary switch component. The redundant network system includes a cable assembly having a node connector coupled to the node port, a primary connector coupled to the primary switch port, and a secondary connector coupled to the secondary switch port. The cable assembly includes a signal splitting circuit between the node connector and the primary and secondary connectors. The cable assembly includes a first cable between the signal splitting circuit and the primary connector and a second cable between the signal splitting circuit and the secondary connector.

Redundant network system

A contact assembly for an electrical connector includes an array of contacts including signal contacts and ground contacts. The ground contacts are interspersed with the signal contacts to provide electrical shielding between corresponding signal contacts. Each signal contact includes a signal contact body having a first side, a second side opposite the first side, a first edge between the first and second sides, and a second edge between the first and second sides opposite the first edge. The signal contact body includes a signal mating end and a signal terminating end. Each signal contact includes a mating ball formed at the signal mating end of the signal contact body. The mating ball is generally spherical shaped. The mating ball and the signal contact body are a homogeneous structure.

Contact assembly for an electrical connector

A contact assembly for an electrical connector signal contacts arranged in pairs and ground contacts are interspersed with the pairs of the signal contacts. Each signal contact includes a signal contact body having first and second sides extending between a signal mating end and a signal terminating end. Each ground contact includes a ground contact body having first and second sides extending between a ground mating end and a ground terminating end. The contact assembly includes a ground shield assembly including a ground shield spanning across the contacts and ground connective elements electrically connected to the ground shield and the corresponding ground contacts. The ground connective elements are compressible.

Contact assembly with ground structure

An electrical connector that includes a housing with an interior cavity configured to receive a card. Electrical contacts are secured across a wall of the housing within the interior cavity and are configured to matingly receive corresponding electrical contacts of the card. The plurality of electrical contacts secured across the wall of the housing are the only electrical contacts of the electrical connector. Each of the plurality of electrical contacts includes a mating interface and the mating interface of each of the plurality of electrical contacts is co-planer. Additionally, the housing includes a card slot opening and each of the plurality of electrical contacts are arranged on one side of the card slot opening.

Low profile electrical connector

A lead frame module includes a lead frame including ground conductors and signal conductors interleaved with the ground conductors side-by-side. The ground and signal conductors have transition portions extending between mating ends and terminating ends. A dielectric holder supports the lead frame and at least partially surrounds the transition portions of the ground and signal conductors. The dielectric holder has a first side and a second side with wells in the first side open to the transition portions of the ground conductors. A printed metal layer is formed in situ on the first side of the dielectric holder and at least partially fills the wells and engages the ground conductors in the wells to electrically connect to the ground conductors. The printed metal layer electrically connect a plurality of the ground conductors.

Lead frame module for electrical connector

A contact assembly includes a contact array having contacts with transition portions between mating and terminating portions with contact tails extending to tips. The contact assembly has a dielectric contact holder holding the transition portions. The contact assembly has a solder ball module defining a board interface to a host circuit board. The solder ball module has a gathering housing with contact channels extending between a top and a bottom receiving contact tails of corresponding contacts. The gathering housing has solder balls arranged at the bottom at each contact channel being electrically connected to the tips of the contact tails and being configured to be reflow soldered to circuits of the host circuit board to electrically connect the contacts to the host circuit board.

A lead frame module of an electrical connector includes a ground lead frame, signal conductors, a dielectric holder, and a ground plate. The ground lead frame includes multiple ground conductors and a tie bar that extends between and connects the ground conductors. The signal conductors are interleaved with the ground conductors. The signal conductors have jogged segments that extend across the tie bar around an outer side of the tie bar without engaging the tie bar. The dielectric holder at least partially surrounds the signal conductors and the ground lead frame to secure the signal conductors relative to the ground lead frame. The ground plate is disposed along an interior side of the dielectric holder and engages an inner side of the tie bar, which is opposite the outer side, to electrically connect the ground plate to the ground lead frame.

Electrical connector with lead frame modules

A dual connector system includes a host circuit board and first and second electrical connectors mounted to the host circuit board. The first electrical connector has a housing having a card slot for a module circuit board and the second electrical connector has a housing having an upper mating surface for the module circuit board. The housing has a first side and an opposite second side with connector latching features and holding second contacts at the upper mating surface between the first and second sides. A dual connector module is mated to the first and second electrical connectors. A securing strap is secured to the dual connector module and has a first strap latching feature being latchably coupled to the corresponding connector latching feature to secure the dual connector module to the second electrical connector.

A pluggable module includes a pluggable body extending between a front end and a mating end receivable in a module cavity of a receptacle assembly to mate with a communication connector. The pluggable body has channel walls defining a cooling channel at a top of the pluggable body allowing airflow between the front end and the mating end. The pluggable body has a plurality of heat transfer fins in the cooling channel between the channel walls and a landing cover spanning between the channel walls over the heat transfer fins. The channel walls, the heat transfer fins and the landing cover are an integral unitary structure.

Organizer tray including a base wall and a receiving wall that is coupled to the base wall. The base and receiving walls extend parallel to each other along a lateral axis. The receiving wall extends away from the base wall along an elevation axis that is perpendicular to the lateral axis such that the base and receiving walls define a circuit channel. The receiving wall has a curved shape. The base and receiving walls are shaped to hold a flex circuit assembly within the circuit channel, in which the flex circuit assembly includes a fiber-routing substrate and corresponding segments of optical fibers that extend within the fiber-routing substrate. The base and receiving walls are configured to hold the fiber-routing substrate such that the fiber-routing substrate satisfies a bend radius of the optical fibers.

The invention provides a transducer for converting between mechanical and electrical energies. The transducer comprises an EAP laminate with a layer of an elastomer material arranged between two electrode layers, each electrode layer comprising a second layer of a plastically deformable material, e.g. metal or a thermoplastic material, and a third layer of an electrically conductive material. Due to the layer of plastically deformable material, the electrode layers can be shaped into various shapes which can provide anisotropic characteristics of the transducer.

An embodiment of the present invention provides an apparatus, comprising a tunable filter with a plurality of bond wires connecting voltage tunable dielectric capacitors to an RF ground and serving as inductors, wherein inductive coupling between the plurality of bond wires serve as coupling between resonators within the tunable filter. The voltage tunable dielectric capacitors may be integrated onto a single MgO chip thereby providing a complete set of tunable capacitors for a filter circuit in a low cost, compact package.
