An actuator arrangement is disclosed herein for an electronically actuatable door latch that controls a door of a vehicle. The actuator arrangement includes, but is not limited to, an actuating member that is connected to the door and that is operatively coupled to the electronically actuatable door latch. The actuating member is configured to actuate the electronically actuatable door latch when the actuating member is pushed in an outboard direction. The actuator arrangement further includes a bracing member that is mounted to the door proximate the actuating member at a position that is inboard of the actuating member. The bracing member permits a user to brace against the bracing member when pushing the actuating member in an outboard direction.

Systems and methods for communicating optimal driving information through a vehicle display of a vehicle are configured to control position of an actual speed indicator along a scalar element of a display as a function of an actual speed of the vehicle; determine, in response to an actual acceleration of the vehicle, an optimal acceleration for changing vehicle speed; and control position of an optimal speed indicator along the scalar element as a function of the determined optimal acceleration.

Systems and methods for communicating optimal driving information

A method of providing a forecast of a driving-range of a vehicle employing an energy storage device is disclosed. The method includes determining a state of charge (SOC) of the energy storage device, accessing geographical and road map data from a remote source, and calculating a historical average distance traveled by the vehicle per the determined SOC. The method also includes determining an available driving-range according to map data and determined historical average distance traveled by the vehicle per the determined SOC. Furthermore, the method includes charging the energy storage device, establishing a rate of charge of the device, determining a period of time and an increase in the SOC to be achieved during the period of time. The method additionally includes determining incremental change in available driving-range according to geographical and road map data and historical average distance traveled by the vehicle per the predetermined increase in the SOC.

Method and a system for providing a driving-range forecast for a vehicle

A speedometer displays a numeric representation of the speed of a vehicle, and further displays an indicator above the numeric representation to indicate the speed of the vehicle is above an established speed limit, or displays the indicator below the numeric representation to indicate the speed of the vehicle is below the established speed limit. The chromaticity of the indicator may be varied in relation to a magnitude of a speed differential between the speed of the vehicle and the speed limit to visually and intuitively indicate to an operator of the vehicle the magnitude of the speed differential.

A fuel efficiency display for a vehicle includes a scale extending vertically on a screen with a bar superimposed over the scale to represent the instantaneous fuel efficiency of the vehicle. A numerical representation of the instantaneous fuel efficiency of the vehicle is displayed above the scale and the bar. A first marker indicating and a numerical representation of the average fuel efficiency of the vehicle over a pre-selected range is displayed on a left side of the scale and the bar. A second marker indicating a numerical representation of the greatest fuel efficiency achieved by the vehicle over the pre-selected range is displayed on a right side of the scale and the bar.
