A pulse rate detection device includes: a moving image obtaining device configured to obtain a moving image captured by photographing a body surface of a subject, a pulse rate obtaining device configured to obtain a pulse rate of the subject on the basis of change of a pixel value of the body surface in the moving image, a reliability obtaining device configured to obtain reliability of the obtained pulse rate, and an output device configured to output the obtained pulse rate, if the obtained reliability is equal to or greater than predetermined reliable criteria and, if the obtained reliability is less than reliable criteria and change of the obtained pulse rate is within a predetermined appropriate range.

Pulse rate detection device and pulse rate detection program

A pulse rate detection device includes: a moving image obtaining device configured to obtain a moving image captured by photographing a body surface of a subject, a pulse rate obtaining device configured to obtain a pulse rate of the subject on the basis of change of a pixel value of the body surface in the moving image, a reliability obtaining device configured to obtain reliability of the obtained pulse rate; and an output device configured to output the obtained pulse rate if the obtained reliability thereof is equal to or greater than predetermined reliable criteria.

A pulse wave detection device detects the face from a frame image and corrects the brightness of the face in accordance with the size of the face surface to appropriately detect a pulse wave even if brightness is changed due to movement of a subject with respect to lighting. The brightness of the face depends on the distance between the lighting and the face, and this is equal to indirect measurement of the distance from the lighting to the face using the size of the face. As described above, a pulse wave detecting device estimates/measures a pulse rate of the subject from a brightness signal after intensity of the brightness of the face photographed on the frame image is corrected using the size of the face, by using the correlation between the size of the face of the subject on the frame image and the brightness of the face.

Pulse wave detection device, vehicle device, and pulse wave detection program

A pulse wave detection device color converts a frame image of a moving image from RBG components to YIQ components, and identifies an eye section using the eye color of a user prepared in advance with a Q component. Next, the pulse wave detection device uses the Y values of the eye section to detect the brightness of the imaging environment. Then, the pulse wave detection device detects a pulse wave signal Qm on the basis of the average of the Q-values of a skin section in the frame image, corrects a change in the brightness by subtracting from Qm the average value Ye of the Y values of the eye section, and thereby outputs a post-brightness-correction Qm. As a result, a pulse wave can be successfully detected even if the brightness is changing because the user is moving in a vehicle or the like.

Pulse wave detection device and pulse wave detection program

A pulse wave detection device color converts a frame image of a moving image from RBG to HSV components, and identifies a skin section using the skin color of a user prepared in advance with an H component. The device converts the skin section of the image to YIQ components, and takes Qm as a pulse wave signal, Qm being obtained by averaging the Q values of the pixels. The device then obtains a chronological change in the pulse wave signal Qm and outputs the change as a pulse wave. Accordingly, it is possible to exclude disturbance factors from the pulse wave detection target, and successfully detect a pulse wave. The identification of the skin section is performed using the H component to identify candidate pixels, and using the S component to narrow down the candidate pixels to the target, so high-precision identification of the skin section is possible.
