The invention relates to an assembly for a differential unit of a vehicle, the assembly comprising: &#x2014;a first housing portion () designed to be assembled with a second housing portion for forming a differential carrier housing; &#x2014;a first and a second supporting devices (), each comprising a main portion () having substantially the shape of a ring and a base portion () attached to the first housing portion () so that the main portions () of the first and second supporting devices () are substantially coaxial along a longitudinal direction (X), the first and second supporting devices being configured to support, in use, a system comprising a crown wheel () and a differential housing () containing a differential, the system having two end portions each including a bearing which has an inner ring () mounted on the differential housing (), an outer ring configured to be mounted in the main portion () of one of the supporting devices (), and rolling elements. The first housing portion (), the first supporting device () and the second supporting device () are made as a single piece. Moreover, the main portion () of at least one supporting device () comprises a notch () for inserting at least part of a corresponding end portion of the system (), the notch () opening: &#x2014;in a radial direction (Y), which is orthogonal to the longitudinal direction (X); &#x2014;and in the longitudinal direction (X), towards the opposite supporting device ().

Assembly for a differential unit of a vehicle

A supporting device to be secured in a housing of an axle unit includes a main portion in the shape of a ring having a longitudinal axis and forming a circular opening intended to receive an outer ring of a bearing which, in use, is mounted on a differential housing. The supporting device further includes a collector capable of collecting lubricant projected inside the housing by at least one rotating part, in use, the collector including an outlet port for allowing lubricant to flow towards the longitudinal axis.

Supporting device for a bearing mounted on a differential housing

Disclosed is an assembly to be mounted at an end portion of an axle of a vehicle, the axle including a differential carrier housing containing a differential and drive shafts, each having one end connected to the differential and a second end to connect to a wheel of the vehicle. The assembly includes a cover to be mounted at the end portion of the axle and fastened to a wheel hub, and a stop elastically compressible in the axial direction and fastened to the cover so as to face and contact one end face of a drive shaft. The stop includes a first part having a first cross-section Sand configured to absorb in compression axial movements of the drive shaft, and a second part having a second cross-section Ssmaller than the first cross-section Sand configured to provide a substantially point contact with the drive shaft end face.
