A dispenser and related methods of dispensing material, in particular viscous materials, from a container and through a nozzle. The dispenser includes a body portion for holding the container in a fixed relationship with the body portion, a plunger movable to advance with respect to the container to urge material from the container through the nozzle, a motor arranged to move the plunger and a controller arranged to control the motor. The motor is controlled according to a distance traveled by the plunger, for example a dispensing distance or a distance the plunger is retracted away from the nozzle, or the motor is controlled according to a speed of the plunger.

Dispenser

A rotary pump (), which can be operated by an electronically commutated DC motor () with an axial gap, with a dry space (), in which a wound stator () is accommodated, and a fluid-fillable pump space (), in which a permanent magnetic pump impeller () is accommodated to rotate, the pump impeller () being separated by a split plate () from stator (), which is connected to a return ring (), to which several poles () are connected, and a circuit board (), and is in heat-conducting contact with it, and includes a heat conducting element () from a good heat conducting light metal. The heat conducting element () consists essentially of a disk () aligned at right angles to the motor shaft or an annular disk with a coaxial tube () extending in the direction of the pump impeller in one piece with it, open or closed toward the motor shaft, and that the circuit board () is connected to the heat-conducting element () on the side facing away from the pump impeller ().

Rotary pump with a fixed shaft

A rotary pump () with a multipart pump housing (), comprising a suction connector () and a pressure connector (), a pump impeller () mounted on a fixed shaft (), the pump rotor () being designed as a permanent magnetic rotor cooperating with an electromagnetic stator. The task of the invention in a rotary pump is to achieve excellent efficiency in a compact design. The rotary pump is also supposed to guarantee high lifetime and improved heat removal. This task is solved according to the invention in that the shaft () is firmly connected to a first pump housing (), referred to as pump head, which includes the suction connector () or is connected to it, the shaft () forming an axis of symmetry to an inside wall area of pump head ().

A pump including at least three rotors each being provided with a generally helical screw thread, the rotors being mounted for rotation in a housing such that the screw threads of the rotors mesh and rotation of one rotor causes rotation of the other rotor, wherein the pitch of the threads is less than 1.6 times the outer diameter of the rotors or where one of the rotors has a larger outer diameter than the other rotors the outer diameter of the larger diameter rotor.

Screw pump

A pump including a power rotor and an idler rotor, the rotors each being provided with a generally helical screw thread and being mounted for rotation in a housing such that the screw threads of the rotors mesh and rotation of one rotor causes rotation of the other rotor, the power rotor being connected to a driving means operation of which causes rotation of the power rotor, wherein the pitch of the threads is less than 1.6 times the outer diameter of the power rotor, the depth of the threads is less than or equal to 0.2 times the outer diameter of the power rotor, and the root diameter of the idler rotor is less than 0.31 times the outer diameter of the power rotor.

A pump assembly including a pump, a pump frame and a motor, the pump including a pumping member which is mounted in a pump housing, relative rotation of the pumping member with respect to the pump housing causing pumping of fluid, and the motor including a rotor and a stator, operation of the motor causing rotation of the pumping member relative to the pump housing, wherein one or two of the stator, pumping member and pump housing is fixed relative to the pump frame, a resilient support part being provided between the pump frame and each of the other two or one of the stator, pumping member, and the pump housing, the resilient support part or parts permitting movement of the stator, pumping member or pump housing with respect to the pump frame.

Pump assembly

An electric motor including a rotor mounted on a motor shaft for rotation around a stator, the rotor including a generally cylindrical wall and a rotor top generally closing the cylinder of the rotor wall, the rotor being connected to the motor shaft by a connecting device, the connecting device being received within an opening in the rotor top and having an aperture for receiving the motor shaft as an interference fit which prevents of rotation of the shaft with respect to the connecting device, the connecting device including a first radially outwardly extending formation at a first side of the rotor top, and a second radially outwardly extending formation at a second side of the rotor top such that the rotor top is received between the first and second radially outwardly extending formations, and there being a spacer between the first radially outwardly extending formation and the first side of the rotor top, the spacer including teeth which dig into the first side of the rotor top and the first radially outwardly extending formation to prevent of rotation of the connecting device with respect to the rotor.

Electric motor

An electric motor including a rotor with a generally cylindrical rotor wall and a plurality of magnetic field producing elements mounted on an inside surface of the rotor wall, the rotor being mounted for rotation around a central stator, wherein the magnetic field producing elements are mounted on the rotor wall by means of a plurality of resilient retaining members, at least one resilient retaining member being located between and engaging with edges of two adjacent magnetic field producing elements, the edges of the magnetic field producing elements extending generally parallel to an axis of rotation of the rotor, the resilient retaining member being elastically deformed so as to exert a retaining force on the magnetic field producing elements.

An assembly includes first and second rotatable members which rotate about a common axis of rotation, the first member being connected to a first rotor and the second member being connected to a second rotor, the first and second rotors being concentrically arranged, the assembly further including a first stator including coils wound about a core, and a second stator including coils also wound about the core, the first rotor being rotatable in response to electrical current flowing in the coils of the first stator and the second rotor being rotatable about the axis in response to electrical current flowing in the coils of the second stator.

An optical inspection system for the inspection of circular workpieces (1) includes an electronic camera (6) having an optical system (21) for focusing an image of a circular workpiece (1) on an electronically active image receiving surface (23), means (16) to move the circular workpiece (1) into a predetermined position in the field of view of the optical system (21) of the camera (6). When a conventional electronic camera is used to inspect circular workpieces it is very difficult to analyze the output signal from the camera since it corresponds to chords taken across the workpiece (1). To overcome this the present inspection system includes means (7) for scanning the image receiving surface in directions extending substantially radially across the image receiving surface to produce an output signal, and a signal analyzer (12) arranged to monitor the output signal corresponding to each radial scan to detect the presence of any irregularity in the workpiece.

Optical inspection system

An optical inspection system for the inspection of circular workpieces (1) includes an electronic camera (6) having an optical system (21) for focusing an image of a circular workpiece (1) on an electronically active image receiving surface (23), means (16) to move the circular workpiece (1) into a predetermined position in the field of view of the optical system (21) of the camera (6). When a conventional electronic camera is used to inspect circular workpieces it is very difficult to analyse the output signal from the camera since it corresponds to chords taken across the workpiece (1).
