Secure device data records (DDRs) are provided. In some embodiments, a system for secure DDRs includes a processor of a wireless communication device for wireless communication with a wireless network, in which the processor is configured with a secure execution environment, and in which the secure execution environment is configured to: monitor service usage of the wireless communication device with the wireless network; and generate a plurality of device data records of the monitored service usage of the wireless communication device with the wireless network, in which each device data record is associated with a unique sequence order identifier; and a memory coupled to the processor and configured to provide the processor with instructions. In some embodiments, the secure execution environment is located in an application processor, in a modem processor, and/or in a subscriber identity module (SIM).

Communications device with secure data path processing agents

A network system comprising memory configured to store a device communication activity policy, and a policy verification processor configured to (a) receive a device data record over a trusted communication link between the network system and a device data record generator on a communications device, the device data record comprising information about a data communications activity by the communications device, the information configured to assist the policy verification processor in determining whether the communications device is operating or has operated in accordance with the device communication activity policy, (b) determine, based on the device data record, whether the communications device is operating or has operated in accordance with the device communication activity policy, and (c) upon determining that the communications device is not operating or has not operated in accordance with the device communication activity policy, initiate an error handling action.

The present invention provides a method, system, and apparatus for rapidly acquiring and correlating synchronization codes for a mobile receiver used for position determination purposes. The receiver uses a processing unit to perform the correlation functions. The processing unit first computes, for each segment interval of the received signal, the phase offset of that interval. Each interval is appropriately adjusted to account for the computed phase offset. The processing unit then accumulates the phase-adjusted segment intervals, and may down-convert the accumulated signal to a baseband format from an intermediate frequency. The processing unit then correlates the accumulated signal with a reference signal to produce a correlation peak, from which the time delay of a synchronization code within the interval can be calculated. Ultimately, the receiver's position can be determined based on the calculated time delay.

Rapid acquisition and correlation of synchronization codes for mobile devices with limited memory and computational power

A method and apparatus are disclosed for improving public key encryption and decryption schemes that employ a composite number formed from three or more distinct primes. The encryption or decryption tasks may be broken down into sub-tasks to obtain encrypted or decrypted sub-parts that are then combined using a form of the Chinese Remainder Theorem to obtain the encrypted or decrypted value. Also disclosed is a system and method for storage and recovery of a private key in a cryptographic system by providing a parameterization of the private key that uses less storage space than the full non-CRT parameter set {n, d} and that provides better computational efficiency than the minimal parameter set {p, q}. Furthermore, disclosed herein is a means for computing the parameters d, d, and d in a manner such that the computational sequence is independent of the values of the prime factors p and q, thereby reducing vulnerability to attacks that exploit such dependence.

Cryptography private key storage and recovery method and apparatus

A system and method for performing multiplication and modular reduction of large integers. The system includes at least one large integer unit, each large integer unit having a multiplier, an adder, and a register. First and second multiplier inputs are applied to the multiplier, and first and second adder inputs are applied to the adder. One output of the multiplier is also applied to the adder. A plurality of large integer units may be connected into a large integer unit array that includes a complementing gate and a latching register. A second output of the multiplier is applied to the first adder input of a next large integer unit, with processing speed increasing as additional large integer units are added to the array.

Method and apparatus for integer arithmetic

Bi-directional communications system in a CATV network utilizing cell-based Asynchronous Transfer Mode (ATM) transmissions. Packet data existing in any one of several different formats are first converted into ATM cells by a headend controller. Individual cells are then assigned a virtual connection by the headend controller. Based on the virtual connection, the cells can be prioritized and routed to their intended destinations. The cells are transmitted in a shared radio frequency spectrum over a standard cable TV network. A subscriber terminal unit demodulates the received RF signal and processes the cells for use in a computer. Likewise, computers may transmit packet data to their respective subscriber terminal units which are sent to the headend controller over the same CATV network. Hence, the present invention offers a flexible, effective, economic, and fully integrated multimedia bearer system granting immediate support for Internet services, traditional voice telephony, and digital video services over a CATV network.

A integer encryptor and decryptor, with the integer encryptor comprising a pseudorandom source, a discrete-time source, guard-band means, and adding means. The pseudorandom source generates a random-data signal. The random-data signal is an integer that lies within a first-bounded range. The discrete-time source generates the input-data signal. The guard-band means is coupled to the discrete-time source. In response to the input-data signal, the guard-band means generates an output-data signal. For a second-limit number the guard-band means limits the output-data signal to lie within a second-bounded range. The second-limit number is less than the first-limit number. The modulo-adding means is coupled to the pseudorandom source and the guard-band means. The modulo-adding means repetitively adds the output-data signal with the random-data signal and a third-limit number and generates an encrypted-data signal. The present invention also includes an integer decryptor having a pseudorandom source and modulo-adding means. The pseudorandom source generates a negative-random-data signal. The negative-random-data signal is the negative of the random-data signal generated at the integer encryptor. A communications channel outputs a channel signal, with the channel signal being a sum of the encrypted-data signal and an error signal. Modulo-adding means is coupled to the communications channel. The modulo-adding means repetitively adds the negative-random-data signal, the channel signal, and a fourth-limit number, and generates a receiver-output-data signal.
