A power meter socket assembly includes a primary meter stack section with a first bus section including conductors oriented in a first plane and an extension meter stack section including a second bus section including conductors oriented in the first plane. The assembly includes a first connection section including flexible conductors. Each flexible conductor includes a first end electrically connected to a conductor of the first bus section and a second end electrically connected to a conductor of the second bus section. The assembly includes a power bus connection section and a disconnect switch. The switch includes line terminals electrically connected to the bus connection section and load terminals connected to the first bus section. The assembly includes a second connection section including flexible conductors oriented parallel to and below the first bus section to connect the line terminals of the switch to the bus connection section.

Disconnect assemblies include a lug assembly with at least one lug and a pull out disconnect assembly comprising at least one inwardly extending electrically conductive clip/clip leg. The one of the at least one inwardly extending clip abuts an outer wall of one of the at least one lug to thereby provide direct electrical connection of lugs to clips/clip legs without blades and jaws.

A stab assembly is for a switchgear assembly of a panelboard. The stab assembly includes: a bus bar having: a mounting portion located on a backpan, the mounting portion including a number of edges each defining an aperture, and a number of elongated extensions each extending from the mounting portion into a corresponding electrical switching apparatus, the elongated extensions including a plug-on elongated extension; and a number of line terminals including a twofold line terminal, the twofold line terminal having: a bolt-on portion engaging the mounting portion, the bolt-on portion having an edge defining a thru hole, the edge of the bolt-on portion substantially overlaying one of the edges of the mounting portion, and a plug-on portion extending from the bolt-on portion, the plug-on portion having an engaging portion. The engaging portion substantially overlays the plug-on elongated extension. The engaging portion engages the plug-on elongated extension.

A contact retention assembly is for electrically connecting an electrical apparatus to an electrical bus member. The contact retention assembly includes a bus stab, a spring member and a terminal contact. The bus stab includes first and second opposing sides, and at least one protrusion extending outwardly from a corresponding one of the first side and second sides. The spring member includes first and second opposing legs, an intermediate portion, and a number of openings. The terminal contact is electrically connected to the electrical apparatus, and is disposed between the bus stab and the spring member. The first and second legs of the spring member are biased toward one another to mechanically couple and electrically connect the terminal contact to the bus stab. The protrusion is disposed in a corresponding one of the openings of the spring member to retain the spring member on the bus stab.

Power distribution system and contact retention assembly therefor

A feeder assembly is provided for a fastener tool, such as a screw driver, structured to install a number of fasteners, such as screws, in a work piece. The screw driver includes a driver assembly having a driver bit. The screws have a predetermined shape. The feeder assembly includes a nose assembly operatively coupled to the driver assembly, and a conduit. The nose assembly receives the screws and retains them in a predetermined orientation below the driver bit. The conduit is coupled to the nose assembly, and includes a passageway. The passageway aligns and delivers the screws to the nose assembly in the predetermined orientation. The passageway has a predetermined shape substantially similar to the predetermined shape of the screws. A fastener tool and an associated method of using the fastener tool are also disclosed.

Apparatus, systems, and methods associated with a disconnect pullout handle for selectively conducting power between jaw connectors are provided. In one embodiment, the disconnect pullout handle includes a molded handle base and a conductive blade configured for frictional engagement with the jaw connectors to provide a current path therebetween. The conductive blade is molded integrally into the blade retaining finger.

An improved gangable meter center for distributing electric power to and measuring electric power consumption by a plurality of individually measured units in a complex comprises: a plurality of meters for measuring the electric power consumption by the plurality of individually measured units in the complex; and a plurality of feeder buses electrically coupled between at least one utility line supplying power to the plurality of individually measured units in the complex, wherein the plurality of meters are included within the meter center without use of a meter socket. Ganged meter centers comprise at least two such gangable meter centers.

A cover assembly is provided for an enclosure, such as an electrical enclosure. The enclosure includes a panel member and a plurality of sides extending outwardly from the panel member to define an interior. The cover assembly includes an inner cover, at least one fastening mechanism fastening the inner cover to the enclosure, a trim member at least partially overlaying the inner cover, and at least one biasing assembly coupling the trim member to the inner cover. The at least one biasing assembly biases the trim member toward the inner cover, and is structured to bias the trim member toward an exterior surface of a structure, such as a building wall, to which the electrical enclosure is coupled.

A meter center includes three feeder bus bars, three supply bus bars, each supply bus bar being electrically connected to a corresponding feeder bus bar, and a number of meter socket assemblies. Each meter socket assembly includes two bus jumpers, each bus jumper including a first end and a second end, the second end of a first bus jumper being selectively electrically connected to a first supply bus bar, the second end of a different second bus jumper being selectively electrically connected to a different second supply bus bar, two load bus bars, insulative support members coupled to a number of the supply bus bars, the insulative support members including a first end coupled to the bus jumpers and an opposite second end supporting the load bus bars, and a meter socket including terminals electrically connected to the first ends of the bus jumpers and to the load bus bars.

An interior assembly for a load center includes a base member disposed at or about a panel member of the load center housing, a first bus bar assembly disposed on the base member, and a first insulating member overlaying the first bus bar assembly and being coupled to the base member. A first portion of the first insulating member receives circuit breakers of the load center, and a second portion receives a second bus bar assembly. A second insulating member overlays the second bus bar assembly and is coupled to the second portion of the first insulating member. A neutral bus bar is coupled to the second insulating member. A fastening mechanism fastens the interior assembly to the panel member. The base member, first and second bus bar assemblies, first and second insulating members, and neutral bus bar are secured together without the use of separate fasteners.

Electrical enclosure and interior assembly therefor

A meter center assembly includes a first meter center with a plurality of sides including a first side having a plurality of first openings, and a second meter center beside the first meter center with a plurality of sides including a second side having a plurality of second openings and an internal surface. Each of a plurality of threaded fasteners passes through a corresponding pair of one of the first openings and one of the second openings. A plurality of rigid members are coupled to the internal surface of the second side of the second meter center. Each rigid member includes an opening that threadably receives a corresponding one of the threaded fasteners. Each threaded fastener, when threadably received by the opening of a corresponding one of the rigid members, secures the first side of the first meter center to the second side of the second meter center.

A clamp-jaw contact assembly is for a meter socket including a socket block having plurality of meter socket receptacles. The clamp-jaw contact assembly includes a stationary contact structured to engage a corresponding one of the meter socket receptacles, a moveable contact pivotally coupled to the stationary contact by a pivot member, such as a rivet, and a clamping element which is coupled to the stationary contact and includes an integral jaw spring. The integral jaw spring biases the moveable contact toward the stationary contact in order to secure a meter bayonet therebetween. The moveable contact also has a closed position in which it resists insertion of the meter bayonet between the moveable contact and the stationary contact.
