A magnetic flowmeter for sensing process fluid flow includes a flow tube configured to receive the process fluid flow there through and a plurality of electrodes disposed to contact process fluid. At least one electromagnetic coil is disposed proximate the tube. A flow tube liner is provided in the flow tube having an interior surface configured to contact process fluid and an exterior surface mounted to the flow tube. The flow tube liner has at least one adhesion feature in the exterior surface which promotes adhesion between the flow tube liner and the flow tube. A method is also provided.

A composite flow tube liner includes a cylindrical substrate and an interior layer. The cylindrical substrate includes a plurality of perforations and is configured for installation within a flow tube assembly of a magnetic flowmeter. The interior layer includes a fluoroelastomer and covers an interior surface of the substrate. The interior layer extends into the perforations of the cylindrical substrate, which secures the fluoroelastomer to the cylindrical substrate.

Magnetic flowmeter composite flow tube liner

A polymeric flow tube assembly is provided. The flow tube assembly includes a flow conduit configured to allow fluid flow therethrough. A first coil is mounted with respect to the flow conduit and disposed about a first magnetic pole member. A second coil is mounted with respect to the flow conduit and is disposed about a second magnetic pole member. The second magnetic pole member is configured to cooperate with the first magnetic pole member to generate an electromagnetic field across a flow measurement aperture. First and second electrodes are positioned within the flow tube assembly to measure an electromotive force generated within a fluid in the flow measurement aperture. At least one of the first magnetic pole member, second magnetic pole member, first electrode and second electrode is formed, at least in part, of a polymer.

A terminal feedthrough is provided. The terminal feedthrough includes a terminal pin insert having a pair of ends. A polymeric body having an externally threaded region is disposed about the terminal pin insert to form an interface with the terminal pin insert. At least one of threads of the externally threaded region and a cylindrical pin interface is configured to provide a flame-quenching pathway.

A flowtube assembly for a magnetic flowmeter is provided. The flowtube assembly includes a flowtube configured to receive a flow of process fluid therethrough. A magnetic core is mounted relative to the flowtube and includes a stem extending from the flowtube to a pair of arms. Each of the arms extends away from the stem. A spool having a plurality of magnetic windings is disposed about the stem and spaces the plurality of windings from the flowtube.

A magnetic flowmeter for sensing process fluid flow is provided. The flowmeter includes a tube configured to receive the process fluid flow therethrough. A plurality of electrodes is disposed to contact process fluid. At least one electromagnetic coil is disposed proximate the tube. Flowmeter electronics are configured to drive a current through at least one electromagnetic coil and to sense a signal developed across a plurality of electrodes disposed to contact process fluid. A flexible circuit module is disposed proximate the tube, and has at least one flexible circuit containing a plurality of electrical traces electrically coupled to the flowmeter electronics. The at least one electromagnetic coil includes a first coil in the flexible circuit module that is coupled to the electrical traces.

Surgical breathing bag

A manually-operated surgical breathing bag for artificial respiration of human beings. The subject bag includes a gas tight, elastomeric, self-expanding and preferably elongated hollow body and an attached port which serves as both a gas inlet and outlet opening. The bag's elongated hollow body is provided with an 'hourglass' configuration having a narrowed central portion as an aid for grasping. In order to apply artificial respiration to an individual, the hollow body is grasped with one hand, the fingers spanning the periphery of the hollow body at its narrowed central portion, and compressed with this hand thereby expelling gas toward an individual's lungs.
