A viewing panel () for a domestic appliance includes a substrate () and a conductive layer () disposed on the substrate; the conductive layer having conductive lines () forming a pattern. The substrate contains a polymeric material; the conductive lines have a height (H) of 0.5 micrometers to 10 micrometers determined by an Olympus MX61 microscope; and the pattern has an average pore area of 0.008 square millimeters to 0.06 square millimeters determined by an Olympus MX61 microscope. The viewing panel has: a total transmission of greater than 70% of light having a wavelength in the range of 360 nanometers to 750 nanometers; and an electromagnetic shielding efficiency of greater than 30 dB at 2.45 GHz.

In one embodiment, a multiwall sheet can comprise: a first wall; a second wall; an intermediate wall disposed between the first wall and the second wall; a first set of ribs disposed between the first wall and the intermediate wall; a second set of ribs disposed between the second wall and the intermediate wall; a cavity disposed between adjacent ribs; wherein the multiwall sheet is configured to expand and/or collapse when a mechanical force (preferably shear force) is applied to the intermediate wall. In one embodiment, a polymeric sheet, comprising: a foamed layer comprising a polymeric material, wherein the polymeric material has a Tg of greater than or equal to 100&#xb0; C.; and wherein the sheet has a weight reduction of 10% to 60%, as compared to a solid sheet of the same geometry and size formed from the same polymeric material. The sheet, at the thickness of 1.0 mm, has a smoke density of less than or equal to 200 particles after four minutes of burning according to ASTM E662-06. The sheet is thermoformable.

In one embodiment, a graphic image display can comprise: a backlight source; a light transmitting first sheet having a viewing side and a backside, with a plurality of geometric microstructure units on the backside; and a second layer comprising a source of graphic image information. The plurality of geometric microstructure units can be selected from microlenses, polyhedral shapes, lenticular shapes, and combinations comprising at least one of the foregoing. The graphic image display can be suitable for viewing under ambient light from the viewing side alone, under backlighting alone, and in the presence of both ambient light from the viewing side and backlighting.

The method includes blending a poly(arylene ether), a thermosetting resin, and a compatibilizing agent in the presence of a solvent to form a homogeneous solution, and removing the solvent to yield the solid concentrate. A system for the inspection of and a process for the correction of defects in a microreplicated optical display film manufacturing process. The process steps of manufacturing a master, a plurality of shims from the master, and a multiplicity of display films from each shim are integrated with a systemic defect identification and correction process. Each primary manufacturing step has its own inspection system and correction process where defect information for that step of the process is fed back and analyzed; and from that analysis the subprocess is adjusted to eliminate or reduce the detected defect. The systemic defect is identified as to its source and then fed back and analyzed in the correction step of the respective subprocess in order to cure the root of the defect.

A laminate, comprises a thermoplastic substrate, a conductive metal foil at least partially disposed on at least one side of the substrate, and an adhesive disposed between the substrate and the metal foil. An adhesive for thermoplastic film is formed from a composition comprising a blend of a poly(arylene ether), a thermosetting resin, a toughening agent, an optional plasticizer, and a cure agent. The adhesive finds particular utility in circuit board applications.

Curable compositions contain a low molecular weight polyphenylene ether and a polyepoxide composition containing brominated and non-brominated bisphenol polyglycidyl ethers, in combination with further components including specific catalysts. Said compositions are preferably free from hardeners for epoxy resins. They may be used in the preparation of bonding sheets which are useful in the manufacture of multilayer printed circuit assemblies and which have excellent physical and electrical properties.
