A hair-clipping device comprises a stationary cutter member (), at least one movable cutter member (), and a drive () coupled to the movable cutter member () for driving movement of the movable cutter member (). The stationary cutter member () has an outer surface (), a chamber () bounded by an inner surface () and at least one hair-catching opening () extending from the outer surface () to the inner surface (). The movable cutter member () comprises at least one cutting edge (), fits in the chamber () with a free, close fit and includes a continuous carrier () oriented in longitudinal direction of the movable cutter member (). The cutting edges () are provided on cutters () projecting radially from the carrier (). A set of cutter members for such a hair-clipping device is also described.

Hair-clipping device and cutter-member assembly for such a device

A hair-clipping device includes a main body, a main hair-clipping unite supported by the main body, and additional hair-clipping unit having an active hair-clipping portion extending over a longitudinal dimension and being supported by a supporting unit. The supporting unit, at least in one predetermined working position of the active hair-clipping portion, extends only over a part of the longitudinal dimension. Thereby at least one free end portion of the active hair-clipping portion exists that can, for example, be easily inserted into the nose to remove nose hair.

Hair-clipping device

A personal care apparatus having a hair trimmer, a main part and a head part. The head part being connected to the main part in a region of the main part that is adjacent to the head part and is pivotable relative to the main part. A personal care tool is provided on the head part and comprising a toothed cutting mechanism that has at least one drivable toothed blade and a spring of a U-shaped configuration has a cross-member connected to the head part and two sides co-operating with at least one position extension connected to the main part in the region of each of its two sides. The spring acts between the head part and the main part, and the head part is pivotable by the spring in synchronization with varying displacing forces that act on the head part in the course of a personal care process.
