A method for manufacturing particles including (a) bringing at least one starting material into a reactor, (b) subjecting the at least one starting material to a thermal treatment of a pulsating process gas stream in a treatment zone of the reactor, (c) forming particles, and (d) bringing the particles which are obtained in steps (b) and (c) out of the reactor. The at least one starting material is thermally treated in the treatment zone at a treatment temperature of 100° C. to 3000° C. and a retention time in the range of 0.1 s to 25 s, and a temperature regulation of the process gas stream is decoupled from the generation and maintenance of a pulsation of the process gas stream. Also provided is a reactor for manufacturing particles according to the method.

The enzyme granulates have a high relative proportion of active enzyme, particular particle size, good shelf life, particularly small rounding factors and/or low residual moisture proportion, and further specific properties. The production of the enzyme granulates is achieved by linking of the thermal conditions in the injection zone and temperature conditions in the remainder of the apparatus. This is achieved by introduction of heated process gasses for drying exclusively in the injection zone. The secure introduction of articles into the injection zone is achieved by the specific geometric arrangement of the apparatus using gravity. A method and a device for producing and/or conditioning powdered material. The aim of the invention is to provide a method and an associated device which are used for producing and/or conditioning powdered material in a spouted bed comprising inert particles and in which a dry, fine powder having a very small particle diameter is produced at a low cost and at adequately large quantities in a continuous operation. This aim is achieved by a method in which the material is treated in several stages in a spouted bed comprising inert particles. In the method, the powdered material that is preprocessed in a first spouted bed and is separated from the larger material particles in an integrated dust collector is fed to a superimposed second spouted bed as a material-gas flow along with the gas flow discharged from the first spouted bed in order to be further reduced in size and be conditioned. After separating the fine particles from the larger material particles in a dust collector that is integrated into the second stage, the fine particles are discharged from the two-stage spouted bed treatment along with the gas flow as a powdered material having very small particle diameters. The separated larger material particles are once again fed to the second spouted bed of the second jet chamber. The device includes a spouted bed apparatus in which a jet chamber encompassing an integrated dust collector as well as a second superimposed jet chamber encompassing another integrated dust collector are disposed.

A fluidized bed apparatus for batch-by-batch or continuous process control is provided that allows the processes in the fluidization region to be influenced as desired, especially in terms of material movement and dwell time. A method for producing enzyme granulates, the resulting enzyme granulates, and their use in formulations, e.g., for animal feed, food, washing means, rinsing means, and/or for pharmaceutical purposes and the like. The enzyme granulates show, in particular, a high relative percentage of active enzymes, certain grain sizes, good storage stability, especially small roundness factor, and/or low residual moisture percentage as well as preferably additional specific properties. According to the invention, the enzyme granulates are produced by linking the thermal conditions in the spray zone and the temperature conditions in the remaining region of the fluidized bed. In the process according to the invention, this is achieved in that the supply of heated processing gas is realized for drying exclusively in the injection region. The reliable supply of particles in the injection region is realized through the special geometrical shape of the apparatus under the use of gravity. Through the addition of inert particles as nuclei material for cores, the absolute content of enzyme activity of the enzyme granulate can be controlled.
