The invention provides a non-stick coating for glass cookware that has good adhesion and stain resistance while maintaining the abrasion resistance of the non-stick coating. The non-stick coating comprises a base coat that contains fluoropolymer and colloidal silica and an overcoat comprising one or more polymer layers containing inorganic filler film hardener.

Glass articles with adhesion and stain resistant non-stick coatings

A composition is provided that is applicable for providing a non-stick abrasion-resistant coating on a surface, but not as a primer layer, said composition comprising fluoropolymer and an effective amount of ceramic particles having an average size of at least about 10 micrometers to improve the abrasion resistance of said coating on said surface by at least 10% as determined by the dry SBAR method, said composition optionally containing adhesion promoter in an amount up to about 10 wt % of the wt. of said fluoropolymer.

Non-stick finish composition

A non-stick coating on a substrate is provided wherein the coating comprises an overcoat and a primer adhering the overcoat to the substrate, the overcoat comprising fluoropolymer and an effective amount of ceramic particles, preferably at least 3 wt % based on the combined weight of the fluoropolymer and the ceramic particles in the overcoat, said ceramic particles having an average particle size of at least about 10 micrometers to increase the abrasion resistance of said coating as determined by the dry SBAR method.

Non-stick finish

The invention relates to a structure comprising a substrate and a baked release coating on the substrate, the coating comprising an undercoat and a fluoropolymer overcoat, wherein said undercoat contains magnetizable flakes and a plurality of silicon carbide particles. The coated substrates of the invention have improved heat transfer properties, improved abrasion resistance and good release.
