Systems/techniques that facilitate learning-based clean data selection are provided. In various embodiments, a system can access a raw dataset. In various aspects, the system can select, via execution of a data selection machine learning model, a clean dataset from the raw dataset. In various instances, the system can train a target machine learning model to perform a target task based on the clean dataset. In various aspects, the clean dataset can include candidate-annotation groupings that are in the raw dataset and that are determined by the data selection machine learning model to be suitable for training of the target machine learning model, and the clean dataset can exclude candidate-annotation groupings that are in the raw dataset and that are determined by the data selection machine learning model to not be suitable for training of the target machine learning model.

Methods and systems are provided for ultrasound imaging, and in particular, for controlling a position of an ultrasound probe. In one example, a probe guide comprises a body shaped to receive an ultrasound probe and including a first detent shaped to maintain the ultrasound probe in a first rotational position along an axis of the body and a second detent shaped to maintain the ultrasound probe in a second rotational position along the axis of the body.

A system and method for automatically estimating a hepatorenal index (HRI) from ultrasound images s provided. The method includes acquiring a sequence of ultrasound image data until a desired ultrasound image view is obtained. The method includes segmenting, a liver and a renal cortex in the obtained ultrasound image view. The method includes identifying valid samples in the liver and the renal cortex in the obtained ultrasound image view by excluding invalid samples. The method includes automatically positioning a liver region of interest and a renal cortex region of interest in the obtained ultrasound image view based on the valid samples and at least one criterion. The method includes determining an HRI and causing a display system to present the HRI.

Method and system for automatically estimating a hepatorenal index from ultrasound images

A system and method for enhancing ultrasound images acquired at a low acoustic power to simulate an acquisition at a high acoustic power is provided. The method may include acquiring, by an ultrasound system, a first ultrasound image at a first acoustic power. The method may include processing, by at least one processor, the first ultrasound image to generate a second ultrasound image simulating a second acoustic power that is greater than the first acoustic power. The method may include presenting the second ultrasound image simulating the second acoustic power at a display system.

Various methods and systems are provided for automatically or semi-automatically adjusting one or more ultrasound imaging parameters for imaging in a second mode based on images obtained in a first mode. In one example, a method includes operating an ultrasound imaging system in a first operating mode, determining an anatomy imaged by the ultrasound imaging system in the first operating mode, and responsive to an operating mode transition request, adjusting imaging parameters of the ultrasound imaging system in a second operating mode based on the first operating mode and the anatomy imaged in the first operating mode.

Methods and systems for multi-mode ultrasound imaging

A system and method for generating a patient-specific organ model is provided. The method may include receiving ultrasound images of an organ and probe position data corresponding with each of the ultrasound images. The method may include receiving identification of landmarks in the ultrasound images corresponding with pre-defined landmarks of a generic geometric organ model. The method may include automatically identifying surface points of the organ in the ultrasound images. The method may include generating a patient-specific ultrasound point cloud of the organ based on the received identification of the landmarks, the automatically identified surface points of the organ, and the probe position data. The method may include registering a point cloud of the generic geometric model to the patient-specific ultrasound point cloud to create a patient-specific organ model. The method may include presenting the patient-specific organ model at a display system.

At least one of the physical controls is configured to control multiple functions of the ultrasound system and has a user operable member providing physical actions that are associated with system parameters. The physical actions comprise rotational and translational movements, and each of the system parameters is associated with an ultrasound system action.

Method and apparatus for controlling ultrasound systems with physical controls

An apparatus for tracking movement of a foreign object within a subject has an X-ray fluoroscopic system with an X-ray detector and an ultrasound system that has a probe with a position sensor. A display is configured to display a static X-ray image acquired by the X-ray fluoroscopic system and a real-time ultrasound image acquired by the ultrasound system. The X-ray image and the ultrasound image each display at least a portion of the foreign object and at least a portion of surrounding area. A tracking module is configured to track movement of the foreign object within the ultrasound image and the display is further configured to display an indication of the movement of the foreign object on the X-ray image.

Method and apparatus for catheter guidance using a combination of ultrasound and X-ray imaging

Methods and systems for ultrasound imaging are presented. The method includes configuring a plurality of apertures in a transducer array of an ultrasound imaging device, where the apertures include one or more transducer elements. Further, one or more reference pulses are delivered to a plurality of target regions to detect corresponding initial positions. Additionally, a pushing pulse is delivered to at least two of the plurality of target regions through at least two of the plurality of apertures. The plurality of apertures is focused at specific target regions in the plurality of target regions using a compound delay profile. Subsequently, one or more tracking pulses are delivered to the plurality of target regions for detecting corresponding displacements of at least the specific target regions. Further, ultrasound imaging methods that deliver a plurality of short pushing pulse segments and/or tracking pulses to corresponding target regions in an interleaving manner are described.

Systems and methods for acoustic radiation force imaging with enhanced performance

An ultrasound system comprises a position sensing module, an imaging tracking module, a display and a user interface. The position sensing module detects spatial information associated with a volume of data. The display displays first and second images based on the volume of data. The first and second images comprise first and second portions of the volume of data, and the first and second portions are at least partially different with respect to each other. The user interface selects a first image tracking point on the first image. The first image tracking point is indicated on the first image with a first indicator. The image tracking module tracks the first image tracking point within the volume of data. The image tracking module indicates on the display a spatial relationship of the first image tracking point to the second image.

Method and apparatus for tracking points in an ultrasound image

A method for volume based registration of images is presented. The method includes receiving a first image data set and at least one other image data set. Further the method includes identifying a first image slice in the at least one other image data set corresponding to the first image data set. The method also includes selecting a first point of interest on at least one of the first image data set or the first image slice in the at least one other image data set. In addition, the method includes selecting a second point of interest on the other of the first image data set or the first image slice in the at least one other image data set, wherein the second point of interest corresponds to the first point of interest. Moreover, the method includes translating one of the first image data set, the first image slice, or both, in a first direction, a second direction and a third direction to align the first point of interest with the second point of interest. Also, the method includes registering the first image data set and the at least one other image data set. Systems and computer-readable medium that afford functionality of the type defined by this method is also contemplated in conjunction with the present technique.

A method for visualizing a registered image is presented. The method includes receiving a first image data set and at least one other image data set. Further, the method includes displaying at least a portion of the first image data set on a first portion of a display. Also, the method includes displaying at least a portion of the at least one other image data set on a second portion of the display. Additionally, the method includes selectively adjusting display of the at least a portion of the at least one other image data to provide a context to the first image data set. A method for measuring a non-linear response from a target using an imaging apparatus includes transmitting a signal towards a region of interest from a transducer at a first amplitude and measuring a first response thereto, and transmitting, from the transducer towards the region of interest, at least one additional signal of the same phase as the first amplitude signal but at one or more different, lower amplitudes and measuring at least one additional response thereto. A difference of a function of the measured additional response or responses from the first response is determined, thereby obtaining a non-linear response of the object of interest, and a representation of the non-linear response is displayed.
