Aminocyclohexylester compounds, including thioesters, are disclosed. The compounds of the present invention may be incorporated in compositions and kits. The present invention also discloses a variety of in vitro and in vivo uses for the compounds and compositions, including the blockade of ion channels and the treatment of arrhythmias.

Aminocyclohexylesters and uses thereof

The present invention provides methods for blocking sodium channels in cardiac or neuronal tissue using aminocyclohexylamides. This invention also provides kits including aminocyclohexylamides and instructions for the use of the compounds for the treatment of arrhythmia or for the inducement of local anaesthesia.

Aminocyclohexylamides for antiarrhythmic and anaesthetic uses

A flexible isolator bag used to isolate a controlled therapeutic gas atmosphere about a human limb for the management and treatment of wounds and lesions, or an amputation, has a discharge port and a flexible manifold section providing an intake manifold which has an infeed port and inlet openings to the interior of the bag. A self-sealing zipper extends along part of the length of the bag. The bag is secured to the patient by adhesive tape applied to the rim of the open end of the bag. This rim is shaped to prevent a tourniquet effect.
