A truss union connector for releasably coupling the ends of two axially aligned pipes, where the connector has simple construction and is operable easily and quickly by actuating a simple knob. This truss union connector is optionally combined with a truss mount where one of the coupled pipes is mounted to a truss. The connector includes a set of split cylindrical shell segments that engage outer surfaces of the ends of the coupled pipes by dimples extending radially inward from the split shell segments into holes in the walls of the pipe surfaces, resulting in a secure but rapid coupling and de-coupling assembly.

An automatic hopper fill system for a coin dispensing machine. An auxiliary coin reservoir container is positioned entirely within the machine to perform the hopper fill function when the hopper becomes empty. The container includes an opening or chute which is normally blocked by an electro-mechanically controlled release door and opened electronically by a circuit which reads a hopper empty code generated to release the auxiliary coin reserve into the hopper. An indicator light is mounted on the external surface of the machine to indicate that the auxiliary container has released the coin reserve into the hopper so that the auxiliary container can be re-filled with coins at a convenient time.

Automatic hopper fill system for coin dispensing machines

An assembly is comprised of a pair of plastic molded units which can be assembled substantially universally in coin vending machines. A first unit is adapted to be fixedly installed in a dedicated location in the machine for passing coins therethrough which were inserted into the machine for activating it. A second unit is constructed to be removably assembled to said first unit for receiving the coins passing through the first unit. The second unit has a flexible bag secured thereon into which the coins are stored after passing through the second unit. The bag has two separated storage pockets, one of the pockets stores the coins. The second pocket is available for storing paper currency which may have been used to activate the machine. The bag also can be provided with a pocket for holding the computer print-out from the machine. The first unit has a spring-biased closure member normally biased to a closed position over the upper end of the passageway therethrough for coins inserted into the machine. The second unit has an integral cam which engages said closure member when the two units are assembled together by sliding the second unit into said first unit. The two units have a cooperating spring biased pin and socket lock for retaining the units in their locked assembly.

Coin and currency receptacle assembly for money operated machines

A lock type sealed security device or unit for clamping bills accumulated in vending machine validating or other paper currency accumulating devices. The device is locked onto the accumulating device in a position which allows the currency to be accumulated therein. When the currency is desired to be removed, the device is moved into a clamping position and operated to securely clamp the sheaf of paper currency therein. The security device can be unlocked from the validating device only when the currency is clamped and an unclamped sealed security device can be mounted in its place on the validating device. The security device with the currency clamped therein then is removed to a collection area, where the device is unsealed and the currency is unclamped and removed.
