Illuminated tinsel garland comprising, according to a first exemplary embodiment, an elongated flexible transparent tube; a flexible electrically powered illumination string disposed in the tube; and a plurality of radially directed fiber optic filaments secured to an exterior of the tube. According to a second exemplary embodiment, the illuminated tinsel garland comprises a flexible electrically powered illumination string including a plurality of lamps spaced apart no more than about 3 cm along the string; and a bundle of fiber optic filaments in light-transmissive communication with each one of the plurality of lamps.

An illumination device, including a fiber optic spiral wrapped around an electrical wire, a plug connected to the electrical wire on one end, and a fiber optic bundle connected to the fiber optic spiral and the electrical wire on an other end opposite the one end. The fiber optic bundle includes a bundle chamber attached to the electrical wire and the fiber optic spiral on a first end, and an illumination member at the wide end and attached to the electrical wire; and fiber optic strands extending from a second end opposite the first end.

A brush guard is attachable to a vehicle frame rail or a vehicle bumper mounting bracket by means of mounting members, each having a mounting surface mountable between the bumper mounting bracket and the bumper frame rail mounting bracket. Each mounting member includes a crush surface positioned in the same spatial relationship from a vehicle mounted sensor crush surface as the original crush surface of a bumper mounting bracket. The brush guard is mounted on the vehicle independent and free of the bumper and is disposed in a position so that the brush guard does not extend forwardly of the frontmost surface of the bumper. In one aspect, the mounting members are pivotally connected to the vehicle to allow pivotal movement of the brush guard during a front-end vehicle collision. A pair of optional outriggers are releasably secure to the outer lateral ends of the brush guard and the vehicle bumper.

Methods for preparing abrasive articles and novel methods of making abrasive articles are presented. One method includes inserting a fibrous material adjacent an interior surface of a drum. A composition comprising an organic binder precursor material is then placed in the drum, and the drum is rotated such that centrifugal forces distribute the composition, including the organic binder precursor material, uniformly about the fibrous material. The composition is exposed to conditions sufficient to solidify the organic binder precursor material such that an endless, flexible, seamless substrate is formed having an outer surface formed adjacent the interior surface of the drum, an inner surface opposite the outer surface and the fibrous material embedded therein. Coated abrasives formed by this method, as well as other methods, are provided wherein an effective amount of a fibrous reinforcing material is engulfed within an organic polymeric binder material. Sufficient binder is present such that there is one or more regions of organic binder material free of fibrous reinforcing material, to which abrasive particles are attached.

A cam driven unit injector for a diesel engine having a single electrically operated control valve for controlling fuel flow to a timing and a metering chamber including a spring cage dumping passage communicated between a spring cage and a return port, this passage housing, in series, a flow restricting orifice and a check valve.

Diesel fuel injector with double dump configuration

A diesel fuel system including a cam actuated unit injector employing a single control valve controlling the establishing and disestablishing of a hydraulic link in a timing chamber between a driven piston and a metering piston. The cam is configured to temporarily halt the upward motion of the pumping piston during a fuel metering period and until the disestablishment of the hydraulic link.

Diesel fuel system

An injector including a self-actuating three-way valve lodged in a passage between the fuel injector supply inlet and a control valve. The three-way valve permits fuel to flow from supply through to the control valve during a metering mode of operation while prohibiting fuel to be dumped to the supply line during the pre-injection timing phase of operation.

Unit injector

A cam driven fuel injector comprising: a body defining a bore; a driven or pumping piston reciprocatively situated with the bore; a metering piston reciprocatively positioned within the bore remote from the pumping piston; and a metering chamber defined in the bore below the metering piston. A spring is situated within a cavity or spring cage remote from the bore and a nozzle extends into the spring cage in biasing engagement with the spring to urge it to a closed position during non-injecting periods. The injector further including means for dumping the fuel within the metering chamber to the supply through the spring cage in correspondence with the motion of the metering piston; and for stabilizing the pressure force exerted on the nozzle, during the dumping portion of operation, by the fuel within the spring cage with the pressure force exerted on the nozzle.
