The present disclosure describes an automated, cognitive based computing system using artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning algorithms to sense, predict, and infer network conditions, configured to dynamically manage transmission of information between communication nodes. The communication nodes comprise orbital nodes positioned in orbit above earth and terrestrial nodes coupled with earth interconnected via a hybrid mesh network topology. One or more automated, cognitive based physical computing processors, using artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning algorithms to sense, predict, and infer network conditions, determine a target terrestrial node to receive information initially stored on a first orbital node; determine transmission conditions between the target terrestrial node and the first orbital node based on output signals from sensors; dynamically determine whether transmission conditions between the first orbital node and the target terrestrial node prevent optical transmission of the information directly from the first orbital node to the target terrestrial node; and, responsive to a determination that transmission conditions prevent optical transmission of the information to the target terrestrial node from the first orbital node, automatically transmit the information along an alternate route between the first orbital node and the target terrestrial node, wherein the alternate route includes transmission between some orbital node and an alternative target terrestrial node other than the target terrestrial node.

Optical communication system

A system and method for suppressing radio frequency ('RF') transmissions includes a transmitter for transmitting electronic signals that suppresses (e.g., prevents, disrupts, jams, interferes with or otherwise disables) RF transmissions. Some embodiments of the invention include a transmitter that suppresses one or more signals transmitted from a target transmitter in an RF transmission system to a target receiver in a wireless device operating in the RF transmission system to prevent, disrupt, jam, interfere with or otherwise disable an RF transmission between the target transmitter and the target receiver in the wireless device (i.e., target wireless device). These systems and methods may be used to interrupt communication, command and control of non-friendly combatant. These systems and methods may also be used to suppress RF transmissions to prevent the detonation of improvised explosive devices, or IEDs.

System and method for suppressing radio frequency transmissions

A full scale uninhabited test facility is configured for building modular man made structures, evaluating modular man made structures, evaluating use of modular man made structures, and/or for other purposes. The structures may be located in a user configurable simulated environment. One or more structures may be configured to simulate use by inhabitants in a simulated environment. After testing, the constructed structure(s) may remain where built in the simulated environment(s) until such time as another user may reconfigure the environments or structures. As additional structures are built and/or modified, new and old structures may operate side by side, generating opportunity, for example, to test new and/or different technology on the same structures.
