A showerhead is disclosed including a first nozzle, a second nozzle, and a massage mode assembly in fluid communication with a fluid inlet, the first nozzle and the second nozzle. The massage mode assembly includes a turbine, a cam coupled to the turbine defining a dwell edge that extends between a leading corner and a follower corner, and a shutter movably coupled to the cam, where movement of the turbine causes the cam to drive shutter between a first position covering the first nozzle and opening the second nozzle and a second position opening the first nozzle and covering the second nozzle.

The present disclosure relates to a showerhead that outputs a pulsating or massaging spray. The showerhead may include an engine including a flow directing housing, a turbine, and a shutter to create the pulsating or intermittent spray. The flow directing housing may have a plurality of flow directing apertures defined around its perimeter, allowing for water to tangentially flow into the engine, rotating the turbine. As the turbine rotates, the shutter moves back and forth creating the pulsating spray.

Showerhead

A showerhead including a head portion including a plurality of nozzles, a handle extending from the head portion and including an inlet, and a pause assembly positioned within the handle to control water flow from the inlet to the plurality of nozzles is disclosed. The pause assembly includes a control extending outwardly from the handle for manipulation by a user to change a state of the pause assembly and an actuator that translates motion of the control to change the state of the pause assembly.

The present disclosure is related to a showerhead including a housing, a turbine, and a shutter. The housing defines a fluid inlet and a chamber in fluid communication with the fluid inlet. The chamber includes a plurality of engagement teeth and defines outlets for a first nozzle bank and a second nozzle bank. The turbine is received in the chamber. The shutter is received in the chamber and rotatably coupled to the turbine such that rotation of the turbine causes movement of the shutter. The shutter includes a plurality of shutter teeth positioned around a perimeter of the shutter. Engagement of the shutter teeth and the engagement teeth act to restrict the shutter from rotating while allowing the shutter to move across the chamber in a sliding motion.

A showerhead including a housing defining a plurality of nozzles and an inlet and having a water control assembly is disclosed. The water control assembly may be positioned at least partially within the housing between the plurality of nozzles and the inlet to control water flow from the inlet to the plurality of nozzles. The water control assembly including an actuator linearly movable along a length of the housing, a valve operably coupled to the actuator that rotates from a first position allowing fluid flow from the inlet to reach the nozzles to a second position reducing fluid flow from the inlet to the nozzles, and a valve driver coupled between the actuator and the valve, where the valve driver converts the linear motion of the actuator into a rotational movement of the valve.

A showerhead may include a first plenum in fluid communication with a first group of nozzles, a second plenum in fluid communication with a second group of nozzles, and a water direction assembly in fluid communication with the first plenum, the second plenum, and a fluid inlet, and alternatingly fluidly connecting the first plenum and the second plenum with the fluid inlet. The water direction assembly may include a turbine and a shutter arranged to oscillate between positions, oscillation of the shutter alternatingly fluidly connecting the first and second plenums with the fluid inlet.

The showerhead includes a housing defining a fluid inlet and a chamber in fluid communication with the fluid inlet, a rotatable turbine received in the chamber and including an eccentric cam positioned on a downstream side of the turbine, and a shutter positioned on the downstream side of the turbine. The shutter includes a shutter body defining an oval-shaped aperture in which the eccentric cam is received such that the shutter oscillates along a rectilinear path as the turbine rotates.
