A torsion damping mechanism for a rotary blower is provided that has improved durability and ease of installation into the rotary blower. A rotary blower including a torsion damping mechanism according to an embodiment of the present invention is also provided.

A torsion isolator assembly (30) for reducing driveline torsionals includes a vane damper (36) having valving (40d,40e) for regulating the damping factor of the damper, spiral springs (32,34 or 82,84), and cam surfaces (44d,44c) which engage the ends of the spiral springs (32,34 or 82,84).; The spiral springs (32,34 or 82,84) have a lesser radial spacing between the outer convolutions as compared to the radial spacing between the inner convolutions.

A torsion isolator assembly (30) for reducing driveline torsionals includes a vane damper (36) including improved valving (40d,40e) for increasing the damping factor of the damper, improved spiral springs (32,34 or 80,82) for reducing spring stress primarily due to centrifugal forces, and cam surfaces (44d,44c) for further reducing spring stress due to centrifugal forces.

A laminated or multiple-ply container structure comprising an inner wall of a substantially rigid material and an outer wall of a thin, generally pliant material, such as a glossy finished paper, adhesively fastened thereto by a suitable adhesive or glue. Formed in the outer wall of the container, as an integral component thereof, and through the intermediary of a tear outline constituted of perforations extending through at least the outer ply or wall is a section constituting a readily removable or peelable coupon-like panel, with the peeling off of the panel adapted to be effectuated without adversely affecting the integrity of the container structure or necessitating the use of special cutting instruments or tools. The outer surface of the removable panel has a heat transferable image imprinted thereon which, after separation of the panel from the container structure, is adapted to be positioned in contact with a suitable transfer surface whereby, through the application of a hot iron, the transferable image which is also commonly referred to as an 'iron-on' is imparted to the transfer surface to form a decorative image or imprint thereon.

In cartons made from laminated packaging material wherein a peelably removable section of the outer ply is defined by a weakened tear line and said section is unadhered to the substrate, resistance to unauthorized tampering or removal of such section from said container is achieved by utilizing a water soluble adhesive as a laminant and including a border area of said section at the starting point of the tear outline within the area of adherence by said laminant to thus require application of moisture to said border area to dissolve said adhesive at said area before the tearing away of such section can be accomplished.

Tamper resistant means for on-package peelable premium

A laminated or multiple-ply structure comprising an inner wall of a substantially rigid material and an outer wall of a thin generally pliant material, such as a glossy finished paper, adhesively fastened thereto by a suitable adhesive or glue. A plurality of artifact receiving pockets are formed in the thin outer wall of the container, with each pocket being formed through the intermediary of a suitable perforation configuration formed therein. Each perforation configuration includes slits penetrating through the outer wall material and defining a pocket by a plurality of discontinuous slits extending along the semicircular peripheral edge of the pocket. The laminating adhesive is interposed between the inner and outer walls to form the laminated structure with an adhesive repellent medium being provided intermediate the inner and outer walls in areas substantially coextensive with the areas of the pockets such that each pocket is expandable away from the inner wall to facilitate the insertion therein of a medallion or other suitable artifact. The teachings herein have particular applicability to a packaging arrangement for consumer products such as a laminated box for breakfast cereals.
