A clamp device includes a clamp portion defining a threaded opening therein. The clamp portion is configured to contact a first side of a beam. The clamp device also includes a threaded fastener configured for insertion into the threaded opening via a hole defined within the decompression panel. The clamp device causes the decompression panel to contact a second side of the beam when the threaded fastener is tightened within the threaded opening.

A method of installing and replacing a plurality of decompression panels into a sidewall assembly of an aircraft includes coupling a first decompression panel to at least one of a sidewall and a floor panel of the sidewall assembly. The method also includes inserting a tab of the first decompression panel into a slot of a second decompression panel. The slot is defined by a flange extending along a surface of the second decompression panel. The method further includes coupling the second decompression panel to at least one of a sidewall and a floor panel of the sidewall assembly.

The decompression panel also includes a tab extending along the first end and a flange coupled to the body portion. The flange defines a slot adjacent the second end. A crew bunk system may include a bunk frame assembly and at least two vertically spaced crew berths. Each one of the crew berths may have a lengthwise hinge line dividing the crew berth into a stationary panel and a foldable panel. The stationary panel may be fixedly coupled to the bunk frame assembly. The foldable panel may be hingedly coupled to the stationary panel along the hinge line. The crew bunk system may include at least one connecting member interconnecting the foldable panels such that the foldable panels pivot in unison between a deployed position and a stowed position. The crew bunk system may include a latching mechanism configured to lock the foldable panels in the stowed position.

A berth sleeper system including a platform portion and a seat portion, the seat portion defining an axis of rotation and being rotatable relative to the platform portion about the axis of rotation, wherein the seat portion includes a seat base, a backrest and a recline mechanism, the recline mechanism supporting the seat base and the backrest in an upright configuration and a horizontal configuration, wherein the seat base is substantially co-planar with the platform portion, while the backrest is disposed at an angle relative to the seat base in the upright configuration, and wherein the seat base and the backrest are substantially co-planar with the platform portion in the horizontal configuration.

A stairway module for use within a fuselage of an aircraft for enabling access to an overhead storage or sleeping area within the aircraft. One preferred embodiment discloses a spiral stairway module having a footprint no larger than a standard lavatory module. Another embodiment includes a stairway module having a pivotally mounted stair section which can be moved between operable and inoperable positions. Both embodiments provide a mid-level platform changing area. All of the embodiments are extremely compact and allow either fore-to-aft access or athwartship access to the overhead sleeping or storage area in the fuselage of the aircraft.

A stowable aircraft cabin vertical partition comprising (1) at least three rigid rectangular-shaped panels attached to each other by panel hinges along the horizontal joints between the panels, that permit the partition to hang vertically when in use and to be fan folded along the joints when stowed (2) a partition support to which the partition is attached near or along its top edge, (3) a stowage support which holds the fan-folded partition next to the support for stowage; wherein a portion of the panels form a vertically-hinged cabin access door having a sufficient number of vertical and horizontal hinges to keep the panels of the access door in a planar alignment with each other when the partition is in use, and to be fan folded with the rest of the partition when the partition is stowed.
