Pet waste scooping apparatus

A modular engine enclosure comprised of a hood and baffle is provided to channel cooling air along passages formed between their adjacent surfaces to the radiator of a water cooled engine. The passages provide acoustic air barriers and along with selected enclosure surfaces covered with sound absorbing foam, serve to contain engine sounds within the enclosure. The passages receive air from a generally upright inlet opening and direct it evenly over the top surface of the horizontally oriented radiator. After being drawn through the radiator, the air is exhausted generally horizontally out the back of the engine compartment. The modular construction of the enclosure allows it to be easily raised and/or removed so that maintenance and service activities can be performed on the engine and its components.

Engine enclosure

A modular operator enclosure is provided for a wheeled vehicle such as a front mount mower or utility vehicle. The enclosure is provided with interconnected front and rear roll-bar structures which serve as a framework upon which a variety of enclosure elements can be attached. Selectively attachable to the framework are a roof element, a front windshield, rear and/or side windows and doors. Glass and metal or flexible windshields, windows and doors are available to meet differing use and weather needs. The module and its elements are quickly and easily assembled at the dealership, thereby enabling them to be shipped in a compact form. The module design provides the dealership and/or user with the option of initially equipping the enclosure with a minimum of elements and then later adding or changing the elements to thereby minimize cost and/or effort.

Modular operator enclosure

The present invention provides apparatus and methods for the synthesis of combinatorial chemical libraries. The apparatus comprises a plurality of reaction vessels having an inner surface, an outer surface, a first opening, and a second opening. An agitator is contained within each of the reaction vessels for stimulating liquid circulation within the vessels. The apparatus has a common gas line having a plurality of gas outlet ports, where each of the reaction vessels has at least one gas outlet port positioned to feed into the vessel. The apparatus also has a common liquid line having a plurality of liquid outlet ports, where each of the reaction vessels has at least one liquid outlet port positioned to feed into the vessel. Each reaction vessel also has at least one valve coupled to the second opening on the vessel.

Apparatus and methods for the preparation of chemical compounds

A suspension for supporting an implement on a vehicle includes a transversely extending pivot shaft secured to a frame of the vehicle and a support link swingably mounted on the pivot shaft at one end portion. A second end portion of the support link extends therefrom in a fore-and-aft direction. Two spaced-apart, fore-and-aft extending support arms are also swingably secured to the pivot shaft at one end portion and are connected at another end portion to opposite sides of the implement. A lift member is coupled to the frame of the vehicle at a first end portion and to the support link at a second end portion for swinging the link about the pivot shaft. A lost motion coupling is provided between a midportion of each of the two support arms and the second end portion of the support link. The lost motion coupling includes a pin and an oversized sleeve for receiving the pin. One of the pin and the sleeve is fixed to the midportion of each of the support arms and the other of the pin and the sleeve is fixed to the second end portion of the support link to permit limited independent up and down movement of the support arms without requiring corresponding movement of the support link.

Implement suspension with lost motion coupling

A mower deck height adjustment mechanism having a frame coupled to a rear base unit having driven wheels. Ground engaging wheels support the frame, and a deck is coupled to the frame. A crank handle is coupled to a transverse bar that is fixed to a lower parallel member. The operator turns the crank handle to pivot the bar and lower parallel member to thereby raise and lower the front of the deck. A bell crank couples the rear of the deck to the crank handle. The bell crank is carried by and shifts vertically with a connecting member supported by the front of the deck. As the front of the deck shifts vertically, the connecting member, bell crank, and rear portion of the deck also shift vertically. The bell crank is also operatively coupled with the bar for pivoting therewith, which also causes the rear portion of the deck to shift vertically.

Mower deck height adjustment mechanism

A mower control linkage having a double ended dead man control lever, left and right steering control levers, and a linkage interconnecting said levers with left and right transmission mechanisms. The linkage has swingable left and right are members that adjust the transmission mechanisms between braked, clutch disengaged and driven modes. The arm members arm connected to the dead man control lever via a lost motion coupling and are each linked with respective steering control levers. As the dead man control lever is depressed, both arm members are placed in a driven mode, and either steering control lever can then be depressed to shift the respective arm member to its braked mode to execute a turn about that wheel.

Self-propelled steerable walk behind mower linkage

The present invention relates to an edger with a belt braking device, including a belt driving device and a cutter blade, which are arranged at the side of an edger vehicle. A bearing housing portion of the cutter blade is provided for forward and rearward movement, a belt cover for covering the whole driving belt is fixed to the edger vehicle, and a belt braking device is arranged between the front end of the belt cover and the front driven pulley, whereby performing ON-OFF operation of a clutch and engagement/ disengagement of a brake simultaneously is enabled. In this way, the fixed belt cover can be compact and the operation for changing of working conditions can be simplified.

Edger with belt braking device

The present invention provides an edger wherein a cutter device is arranged on one side of an edger frame, the position of a front wheel is adjustable, the position of one of the rear wheels situated on the other side of the edger frame is also adjustable, and a mechanism for changing the position of the front wheel as well as changing the position of the rear wheel is performed by a single control lever at the operator's station. With this arrangement, the adjustment of the depth of the cutter and the adjustment for maintaining the edger in a horizontal condition when the edger is driven on a curbstone can be easily effected by the operator.

Edger

A hitch linkage for hitching an implement to a front mount riding mower including a plurality of hitch arms detachably mounted to the lift arms of the riding mower. A cross-link is pivotally mounted between the hitch arms. The support struts of a support wheel are fixably mounted to the cross-link. A cylinder selectively pivots the cross-link to raise or lower the support wheel. When the support wheel is lowered into ground engaging position, the support wheel is leading to the drive wheels of the riding mower during implement transport.

Implement hitch linkage for front mount mowers

A transmission control mechanism for a vehicle having a dual hydrostatic transmission vehicle drive system having a first and second lever mounted to respective displacement control rods of transmission pump units. A cross member communicates with the levers via connecting rods. A steering column is mounted to the cross member. The steering column is mounted in the vehicle such that it can experience simultaneous rotational and pivotal motion. Pivoting of the steering column causes the pump units to displace with a constant relative displacement, and rotation of the steering column causes the pumps to displace with a differential relative displacement.

Control mechanism for a dual hydrostatic transmission vehicle drive

A skid steer loader includes lift arms which are supported by two pairs of guide links arranged such that the bucket undergoes substantially vertical movement as it moves between lowered and raised positions. One of the pairs of guide links serves as part of a self-levelling linkage which maintains the bucket in a substantially level attitude throughout the movement of the bucket between the lowered and raised positions thereof.

Lift arm and control linkage structure for loader buckets

A tractor has a main frame with a fore and aft body portion and a transverse rear axle housing, and includes a pair of hydraulic outlets. A transverse upright U-shaped member depends from the body portion of the tractor and has a central fore and aft socket, and a pair of rearwardly open V-shaped latch elements are connected to the tractor axle housing. A separate backhoe has a forwardly extending frame portion having a probe at its forward end that is insertible into the socket and has a pair of transverse pins extending outwardly from opposite sides of the frame for engagement with the V-shaped latch elements. The backhoe is mounted on the tractor by backing the tractor toward the backhoe with the tractor wheels straddling the fore and aft backhoe frame portion. Backhoe control valves are then connected to the tractor hydraulic outlets, so that the backhoe frame can be adjusted to a height and attitude wherein the probe is aligned with the socket on the tractor and the pins are aligned with the latch element on the axle housing. The tractor is then backed until the probe enters the socket and the pins engage the latch elements, and the pins are then locked into the latches.
