A helmet and goggle strap clip combination includes a helmet body with an outer shell having an opening in a surface. The goggle strap clip includes a clip body and a resilient leg with a foot at an end of the leg, the foot having a foot body. A cover portion extends from the foot body in a first direction and a support fin extends from the foot body in a second direction opposite the first direction. The foot is configured to engage the opening in the outer shell of the helmet with the cover portion overlapping a portion of the outer shell and the support fin being positioned inside of the outer shell.

Helmet goggle strap holder

A helmet for protecting the head of a user may include at least one liner comprising an inner surface and a lower edge surrounding the inner surface at a helmet opening configured to receive a head of a helmet wearer. At least two coupling points may be located on the inner surface proximal to the lower edge. At least one flexible forehead strap may follow the lower edge of the energy management layer and may be inwardly offset from the inner surface. At least two prongs may be coupled to, and slidably extend between, the flexible forehead strap and the at least two coupling points, respectively. A continuous gap between the inner surface and the flexible forehead strap may be provided by an offset created by the at least two prongs, the at least two prongs flexibly maintaining the offset.

Protective bicycle helmet with internal ventilation fit system comprising expanded connectors

A pair of goggles with a lens assembly, a goggle frame, and at least one lens retention shelf is disclosed. The lens assembly includes a lens with a projection extending from the assembly. The goggle frame is made of a first material and has a frame aperture sized large enough to receive the projection from the lens assembly through it. The lens retention shelf is made of a second material harder than the first material and is disposed behind the frame. The first lens retention shelf includes a projection connector corresponding to the projection, the projection connector is aligned with the frame aperture and sized to receive and engage the projection with the goggle frame interposed between the lens retention shelf and the lens.

Interposed goggle frame snap assembly

A helmet and goggle strap clip combination includes a helmet body with an outer shell having an opening in a surface. The goggle strap clip includes a clip body, a resilient leg extending in a first direction with a foot at an end of the leg. The foot includes a foot body, an outer side facing away from the helmet body and an inner side facing the helmet body, a cover extends from the foot body in the first direction, a support fin extending from the foot body in a second direction, opposite the first direction. The cover overlaps the outer shell by a side edge, the support fin is positioned inside of and engaging the outer shell by a second side edge, and the clip body is in direct contact with the outer shell separate from the leg and its foot.

A pair of goggles with a lens assembly, a goggle frame, and at least one lens retention shelf is disclosed. The lens assembly includes a lens with a projection extending from the assembly. The goggle frame is made of a first material and has a frame aperture sized large enough to receive the projection from the lens assembly through it. The lens retention shelf is made of a second material harder than the first material and is disposed behind the frame. The first lens retention shelf includes a projection connector corresponding to the projection, the projection connector is aligned with the frame aperture and sized sized to receive and engage the projection with the goggle frame interposed between the lens retention shelf and the lens.

A quick tightening system for a shoe comprises at least two shoelace segments, a pull-tab having a first side of a hook-and-loop fastener on a bottom surface of the pull-tab, and a second side of the hook-and-loop fastener. The at least two shoelace segments each includes an aglet at a distal end of the shoelace segment, each of the at least two shoelace segments coupled to the first side of the shoe at a proximal end of the shoelace segment and extending through the eyelets on the first side of the shoe. The pull-tab includes aglet channels. The aglet channels each is sized to removably receive at least a portion of one of the aglets into one of the aglet channel while each of the at least two shoelace segments extends from the aglet channels into the eyelets on the first side of the shoe. The second side of the hook-and-loop fastener is disposed on an outer surface of the second side of the shoe.

Combination shoelace and hook and loop fasteners shoe tightening system with replaceable shoelaces

A shoe quick tightening system includes two shoelace segments with aglets at the ends threaded through openings on the shoe, a pull-tab is connected to an aglet clip with at least two aglet channels to receive the two shoelace segments and aglets, and a clip cover engaged with the clip and enclosing the aglets within the clip and cover, the pull tab including hook and loop fastener portion adapted to couple with a mating hook and loop fastener portion on a surface of the shoe.

Helmet

An adjustment mechanism comprises a dial comprising an inner wall defining a hole passing through the dial, the inner wall comprising a ledge having one or more cutouts. The mechanism further comprises a base comprising a first set of teeth and an actuator comprising a second, the second set of teeth configured to engage the first set of teeth and allow the actuator to be rotated in a first direction but not in a second opposite direction. The actuator further comprises one or more drive-dogs configured to engage a cutout on the inner wall of the dial, each drive-dog comprising a ramped edge configured to disengage the drive-dog from the cutout and lift the second set of teeth from the first set of teeth when the dial is rotated in the second direction.

Adjustment mechanism

An eyewear system includes a frame having a lens channel configured to slidably receive the lens and an opening to allow the lens to be inserted into the lens channel. The system further includes a lens configured to be slidably received into the lens channel of the frame and a latch to releasably secure the lens in the frame.

Lens replacement system

A fit adjustment mechanism for the headband of a helmet including a bridge and a buckle. The bridge has ratchet teeth extending from the exterior surface. Each of the ratchet teeth has a tapered surface, a top land, and a retention surface with an undercut face beneath the top land. Substantially flat valleys are formed on the exterior surface between each of the ratchet teeth. The buckle includes a clasp that is resiliently and integrally formed on the exterior surface of the base. The clasp has a pawl having an engagement surface so formed to engage the undercut face of the ratchet teeth retention surfaces.

Fit adjustment mechanism for helmets

According to one embodiment of the invention, a fitting system for a helmet is provided. The fitting system includes a belt having supported racks coupled to a belt adjustment device. The belt adjustment device is operable to allow a user to tighten the belt, and release the belt at a single touch of a release actuator. The belt adjustment device and the racks are configured to hug the occiput of a user when the helmet is properly worn. The belt adjustment device is also operable to hold the rear straps of the helmet apart but is not attached to the helmet. The belt defines a collapsible button for securing a pad. The pad defines a substantially lateral compressed strip that is operable to urge the pad against the belt. The belt adjustment device and the belt are configured to allow rear straps of the helmet to approximately directly approach the chin of the user.

Head gear fitting system

A helmet for protecting the head of a wearer during sporting activities, comprising a protective shell, vents formed in the protective shell, and a shutter plate positioned within the protective shell. The shutter plate has apertures conforming in dimension and position to the vent openings so that that the apertures are in substantial alignment with the vents when the shutter plate is in a first position. The shutter plate is selectively moveable so that the vents are opened or closed.
