In one aspect, the disclosure relates to compounds that are inhibitors of KRAS, and the disclosed compounds are allosteric inhibitors of KRAS which render them extremely useful for therapeutic intervention in a variety of disorders and diseases in which inhibition of DHODH can be clinically useful, e.g., cancer. In various aspects, the disclosed compounds are substituted 7-(piperazin-1-yl)pyrazolo[1,5-a]pyrimidine analogs. In further aspects, the disclosed compounds can be used in methods of treating a cancer. A personal, portable, ambient air temperature modification heating or cooling device provides heated or cooled air flow from a modified ambient temperature source disposed inside a container configured to fit in a conventional cup holder. The device pulls in ambient temperature air into an internal chamber of the device where the ambient temperature air is cooled or warmed through heat transfer from thermal energy storage components in the internal chamber, then thermally concentrated prior to entering a motorized air movement mechanism via an air manifold, and the resulting cooled or warmed air is returned out from the internal chamber of the device and directed toward a user. The modified temperature air returned by the device provides a desired cooling or warming effect to the immediate environment nearby the user.

Systems and methods for righting a capsized watercraft are described. The system may include a selectively inflatable bladder inside a canvas gunwale float that can be releasably attached to one side of a boat. When the other side of the boat is lifted, the float keeps at least a portion of the lowermost gunwale above the surface of the water, thereby impeding the unwanted entry of water into the boat during righting. The inflatable bladder is sized in volume according to the size and shape of the boat. The system may include one or more floats spaced apart along the side. In another aspect, one of the floats may be attached to a paddle to create a temporary outrigger for use in climbing out of the water and into the boat.

A personal ambient air temperature modification, filtration, and purification system that is configured to be handheld. The personal ambient air temperature modification, filtration, and purification system of the present invention provides a container with air inlets to allow an internal motorized air movement mechanism to pull air through an air channel fluidly coupling to the air inlets, through a filter disposed in the air channel, through thermal diffusion blades, across at least one combination fluid vapor source and thermal energy storage component that purifies the air by vapor capture, into a thermal energy concentrator disposed in the interior volume of the container that modifies air temperature, and through the motorized air movement mechanism, where the air is then delivered into an environment as purified, filtered, temperature modified air.

Expanded metal sheets are used to produce tubular filters. The expanded metal sheet has a multiplicity of rows of openings arranged to reduce nesting when the sheet is rolled on itself. In particular, the pitch between the rows of openings, the sizes of the openings, or both the pitch between the rows of openings and the sizes of the openings are varied to reduce nesting when the expanded metal sheet is rolled on itself. The filters can include external circumferential grooves, rounded corners produced by a point loading process, textured surfaces between openings, and/or torturous internal paths produced by non-perforated areas of an expanded metal sheet. The expanded metal sheet can be composed of carbon steel coated with a material having a higher heat conductivity, e.g., tin. Among other things, the filters can be used in automobile airbag inflators to capture slag and absorb heat produced by the inflator's explosive charge.

A nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) system and method for determining oil and water composition in drilling mud by separating out signals from oil and water in a two dimensional relaxation space wherein the oil and water ratio is a function of the separated out signals. The spin-lattice relaxation time distribution or a spin-spin relaxation time distribution of the sample is measured and a spin-lattice versus spin-spin or a spin-spin versus diffusion two-dimensional procedure is applied to separate the components of the drilling fluid. The signal intensities from the oil and water regions of the one-dimensional or two-dimensional NMR measurements are used to quantify the relative portion of the proton NMR signal from the oil and water and to determine the ratio of oil and water in the drilling mud.

A system, computer-readable storage medium storing at least one program, and a computer-implemented method for representing a resource object in a virtual environment are presented. To begin, a graphical user interface may be provided to a player. The graphical user interface may display a virtual environment that includes the resource object and a game object. A resource production event may be detected. The resource production event may be generated based on a resource production attribute that specifies that a quantity of resource units have been generated. Based on the detected resource production event, at least some portion of the quantity of generated resource units is allocated to the resource pool. Then, responsive to detecting a user initiated game action being applied to the game object, a determinable amount of resource units is removed from the resource pool.
