A goaltender training device provides a screen representative of a goal opening and an image capture device to detect a goaltender against the screen. The training device provides visual indicators of goal coverage and records goaltender stance and position relative to the screen to provide training feedback. The training device can provide a light source directed at the screen to enhance image capture and simplify image analysis. The image capture device defines a reference screen in memory to compare against obstructions of the screen during a training exercise. Particular points on the reference screen are identified for coverage by the goaltender during training, and coverage status of the points may be indicated with the visual indicators. Sequences of images can be analyzed for a particular parameter, such as percentage of the screen covered, and downloaded to other devices for review and analysis.

Goalie training device and method

A training device for a goaltender employs a plurality of transceivers mounted within a housing that emit beams that are reflected off of cooperative reflectors attached to a goal. The transceivers and reflectors are aligned such that uninterrupted reflected beams are sensed by the emitting transceiver. A visual indication is provided to a goaltender positioned between the goal and the training device whether the goaltender is positioned so as to block shots from a point between the training device and the goal to a plurality of specified areas of the goal so as to provide feedback to the goaltender with respect to goal coverage.

Goaltender training apparatus

An electrical shock system is provided for deterring birds from entering defined regions. The electrical shock system includes a wiring configuration that maximizes that amount of the defined regions that will be covered by the system while minimizing the amount of wires so that the system may be installed easily with efficient use of the necessary wires. As a result, the bird control system of the present invention will provide better coverage over the desired regions and will therefore provide more effective in permanently keeping the birds from returning to the desired regions.
