A placard frame comprises a first frame member and a second frame member spaced from the first frame member and extending therefrom at a margin, wherein the first and second frame members and the margin define an interior space adapted to receive a placard. A projection is disposed on one of the first frame member and the second frame member at a location one of at and adjacent to the margin wherein the projection extends into the interior space. Further, a slot is in communication with the interior space.

A marking device for displaying indicia and a method of displaying indicia in a marking device are disclosed. The method includes a substantially rectangular marking device frame comprising first and second edges parallel to a first axes and a third and fourth edges parallel to a second axis, wherein the first and second axes are orthogonal. A first set of tiles and a second set of tiles are secured to the marking device frame. The first set of tiles and the second set of tiles are disposed adjacent to one another along the first axis. A first tile of the first set of tiles is exposed to display a first portion of the indicia printed thereon and a second tile of the second set of tiles is exposed to display a second portion of the indicia printed thereon.

Marking devices and methods of displaying indicia in a marking device

A tensioner for strap includes a housing, a battery, a motor, a tension head having a tension wheel operably connected to the motor and a nosepiece having a pinch element. The nosepiece is mounted to the tension head for movement relative thereto. An actuator handle is mounted to the nosepiece to move the pinch element toward and away from the tension wheel. A strap sensor is operably connected to a controller and senses the presence or absence of strap between the tension wheel and the pinch element. A home position switch senses pinch wheel proximity to the tension wheel. The nosepiece is moved away from the tension head to introduce strap to the tool and the home position switch changes state to signal the controller to permit actuation of the motor when the strap sensor senses the presence of strap between the pinch element and the tension wheel.

A void board is configured for placement between adjacent horizontal layers of bricks to maintain an opening in a lower of the layers. The void board includes a relatively thin base element having first and second opposing sides and a plurality of ribs extending along a length of the base element. The ribs extend from the first and second sides, generally transverse to the base element. The ribs are positioned such that the ribs that extend from the first side of the base element are offset from the ribs extending from the second side of the base element. The base element has a longitudinally extending central region, between a closest pair of ribs, that is devoid of ribs. A bundled load of objects have the void board positioned therein and a method of bundling a load of objects are also disclosed.

A strap tension retaining device is configured for a use with a bulk unit secured by a strap under tension. Such a bulk unit load has a corner and defines a bulk unit perimeter. The strap tension retaining device includes a fixed base element, fixed relative to the bulk unit load, a floating element movable relative to the fixed base element, a biasing element mounted between the floating element and the fixed base element and a guide element mounting the floating element to the fixed base element to guide movement of the floating element relative to the fixed base element. The strap tension retaining device is positioned at about the corner of the bulk unit load with the strap positioned around the bulk unit perimeter of the bulk unit load, over the strap tension retaining device floating element. When the strap is tensioned a force is exerted by the strap on the floating element to force the biasing element against the bias direction. Changes in strap tension due to a decrease or increase in the bulk unit perimeter are accommodated by movement of the floating element.
